tales from Belwood: early days.

Episode 9 - battle by the beach.

Rex: another day another Evo attack. How are you handling everything ben?

Ben as shock rock had formed an electric net and had caught one of the small evos who were terrorizing Bellwood.

Ben: I don't know how much longer I can keep them contained. I'm also going to time out soon.

Rex: I can't cure these guys unless we get them to sleep.

The rustbucket pulls up next to them and Gwen opens up the cage from Water filter and ben manages to put all of the small Evo's into the cage and putting it onto the back of the rustbucket.

Max: you ready to call this a day rex and go back home.

Rex: I was going to stay out for a little while and go and hang out with Noah and Circe for a bit.

Max: well, just be safe. Providence is still out to get you.

Rex: don't worry. I will be. You coming Bobo?

Bobo looks at max and then rex.

Bobo: until we can get providence off our case permanently, it's just safer for me to stay inside.

Rex: they just released a new episode of your show didn't they.

Bobo: you know me to well kid.

Ben: if you want, we could join you guys.

Gwen: yeah.

Rex: thanks, but it's going to be a three personkind of thing.

Ben: you invited the monkey.

Rex: well, bobo isn't human so...

Ben: well, played. Come on Gwen, I'm sure we can think of something fun to do.

Gwen: ok, what do you want to do?

Before ben could answer they got in the rustbucket and shut the door. Rex just shrugged as he got on his rex ride and found his friends hanging out under one of the many bridges that littered Bellwood. However, they could see the end of the river leading into the dessert that was on the outskirts of Bellwood.

Noah: you ever find it weird that there is a dessert right outside this city?

Circe: I mean, they did build the town in the dessert. What do you think they were expecting?

Rex: hey guys. Sorry I'm late, we had a bit of an Evo problem.

Circe: it's no problem. So, what do you guys want to do?

Noah: we could go and see a movie or something.

Circe: we could also go and have some real fun.

Rex: what do you mean?

Circe smiles as we next see them on top of a large building as rex had flown them up.

Noah: I don't know about this.

Circe: relax, I know what I'm doing.

She extended her mouth out and started screeching, using her voice as a form of echo location.

Noah: wait, an Evo as well? Am I being evo?

Rex: unless you get your nanites active, not likely. What are you doing Circe anyway?

Circe: quiet.

She listens as she hears what she's looking for.

Circe: that way.

Rex grabs onto both of them and he takes them towards the beach, however he isn't able to hold them forever and by the time they reach the beach his boogie pack starts to fall apart, and they make a crashlanding on the beach.

Noah: can you give us a warning when you're going to drop us next time?

Rex: sorry, I still don't have full control over my builds yet.

Circe: you got us plenty far enough.

Rex: why, what did you want to do here?

Noah: it's the beach, the place to kick back and relax. I get it Circe; school can be quite stressful.

Circe: I had something else in mind.

She gets onto the dock and extends her Evo mouth out and screeches into the ocean, from it a giant Evo extends out. It had giant tentacles sprouting out from the many faces on its base.

Rex: what is this thing?

Circe: you want to train with your powers, this is how you do it.

Rex: I can't handle this thing. I'm going to call in some back up.

He tries to call ben who picks up and hears him screaming.

Ben: calm down rex, I can't hear you.

Rex: there's a giant tentacle Evo here and I need some help to defeat him.

Ben: tentacles?

Ben starts to have a traumatic flashback.

Rex: are you, their ben?

Ben: sorry, buys fighting DJ decibel. We'll be there as soon as we can be.

He hangs up and looks to see Circe screaming at the creature with her extended mouth.

Circe: come on rex, I can't fight this thing on my own.

Rex: ok, ok. Calm down rex. I can do this, right Noah?

He asked as he turned around to see Noah asleep on the sand.

Rex: come on rex, you can do. Just get in close and cure it. If you can cure it.

He runs up with his B.F.S and tries slashing at it, only to see it slapping him away. He then looks to see it flowing the sound of Circe's screeching.

Rex: is it following your scream?

Circe: well, I am sort of an Evo magnet. Although I've learned how to not be an Evo magnet when screeching. It's all in the frequency I use.

Rex: I noticed. Keep its attacks focused on you while I come in from behind. I should be able to cure it, or at least incapacitate it.

Circe: don't let it eat me.

Rex: I'll try.

As Circe keeps on running to different spots, the Evo following her screaming, rex keeps on attacking it from behind, eventually nocking it out as they watch the sky turn dark. Noa wakes up and is mortified. Six and some of the other providence agents, fall from the sky.

Noah: wait, this wasn't the deal.

Six: the plan has changed kid. We're taking rex in. And his little girlfriend as well. All Evo's need to be contained and naturalized, but his unique abilities could make him a valuable asset to providence.

Rex: wat plan?

What he didn't notice was Circe being electrocuted and that he was next. He fell to the floor as he saw the rustbucket pull up on the beach.

Gwen: I od you they needed our help.

Ben: well, that tentacle monster is gone so now I'm ready to fight.

Six: you have no authority plumber.

Max: it's a good thing I'm retired then.

Six just kicks max to the ground as ben tried to turn into humungousaur, instead ending up as Heatblast.

Ben: well, this works.

He tried to hit six with a fire ball but six just runs through the fire and grabs onto Heatblast, throwing him into the ocean as he saw his gloves catch on fire. He just removed the gloves and put on a separate pair. He got back on the ship as the trio could only look on with Noah watching, getting into the rustbucket waiting for max, Gwen and ben to get in with him.
