Background story: Byakko comes from a long dynasty of Lords' guardians, with strict rules to follow, as well as manners and behaviors. His father was very demanding to his only child, he made him study, train and follow him to work to see how things got done. The child introduced himself to all Lords and reminded them to behave and not to pick up a fight, it wouldn't have ended good for them. Many chuckled at him, a few made fun of him, a bunch took the provocation personally. Since when a child, a magic beast, is so powerful to put Lords in place? So they tested him by going against the rules and Byakko didn't have mercy, he beat the shit out of those two and reminded them his previous words. Since that day, the 11 years old earned the respect of all Lords and secured his place as their guidance and guardian. And that day arrived quickly, his father left to investigate numerous disasters happening in the world, so Byakko stayed to fulfill his father's duty, which fell completely on his shoulders after a few months with the news that his father died battling a mad walking curse. The tiger was shook but didn't let the news have the better on him and interfere with his job, but he found it very hard to not go home as often as he wished to at least comfort his mother. Being a guardian means he has to stay on duty for almost 24h a day, and his only day off he's quite tired by the lack of sleep that he collapses on the bed and sleep until it's time to go to work again. The worst were Uranus and Jupiter, mostly Uranus. Jupiter could be put back at his place with a strong hand, but not Uranus. The troubler maker was a nightmare for Byakko, he didn't follow the rules, it was tough to beat because maniac of fights and his ability to freeze even magics, warnings obviously didn't work, actually anything was working on that man. As unbreakable as he was, Byakko let him be only if he was kept under control by his friends Atlanta and Astraea. Years went by and everything seemed too calm and peaceful to be real, and the tiger's guts were right. Humans first, then spirits and gods began to rebel and fight for a mumbling thing, but the corruption spread quickly and so far that reached the Lords. Byakko hid his mother and went to kill the berserking Lords, finding out they were accompanied by a shadow with a void face that was frightly powerful. Byakko managed to kill one Lord only, then went to Astraea for help, but the Lord was gone. Only later on he found out that he was fighting Atlanta and already killed Jupiter. When Byakkomaru finally found him, he was more concerned for Aslan and Oberon. He was genuinely heartbroken when he saw Uranus lifeless and his body was fully of wounds and bruises, but he was also angry at humans for going that far on a person who was yes a pain in the ass, but also carried the title of the noblest amongst the Lords. For only that time, Byakko broke his vows and let Astraea go rampage as much as he wanted, humans had to pay especially the one who instigated such weak and easy to manipulate creatures. For a while, the tiger decided to quit and spend the rest of his days with his mother, peaceful days filled with joy that hid the void in his chest. When his mom passed away, Byakko was feeling very lonely and broken, and Aslan came at his door. The magic beast was so surprised to see the other again that he accidentally blushed, but was dumbfounded when he heard the words that fell from Aslan's lips: "Astraea is alive, I need you to guard him when I'm not around. Will you do it?" The tiger accepted out of duty, even if one Lord only, he needed to guide him and guard him. Little did he knew that Byakkomaru had to protect Astraea from his intrusive thoughts. Little did he knew that month after month new people were coming and entering the Lord's wings, until those hills became lands, then a whole kingdom. After so many years the tiger was getting bored, Astraea was the strongest he surely could protect himself, so Byakko kinda felt useless. Until Millenaria came with a child in his arms and asked the beast to protect her better than a Lord. The moment Byakko held Y/n, he fell over the heels for her, and became her butler. He was putting her on his fluffy back and trotted around, explaining things in the simplest way possible, he played with her at whatever game the child wished, the word no, so often used by the guardian never crossed his mind with Y/n, he spoiled her more than Astraea. Everyone was making fun of him, until they saw Byakko's worth. They saw he was not just a big kitty, nor a nanny, he was the protector of the Lords for a reason, the same reason he was called the guardian of heavens and earth. When Araceli found out about Y/n, he went for the kill but he could not even tear a single hair from the human. Byakko protected the girl when he was half dead, his resolution was so hard to break that even with broken bones, bleeding to death and passed out, he kept standing and be a shield for the fragile human that took his heart. Y/n called for help by drawing a summoning circle and when help arrived, Araceli saw death in the face for the second time. Astraea's pillars were with him, but they followed Aslan's orders to save Byakko's life, but Astraea saw red when he saw in what state his dear friend was. He was beating to death that cursed creature, but Aslan stopped him. Byakko needed the strongest treatments they had, so he needed Astraea as well. After he woke up from a 10 years coma and after the end of the war, Byakko kept being Y/n's butler but left the place of right-hand man to someone else. He's serving Astraea directly yes, but he had 3 Lords to guard, so he wanted to focus more on spoiling and guiding his favorite human instead of being her direct subordinate, because otherwise he couldn't let her do whatever she wanted and have whatever she wanted. Which is a big no for the spoiling kitty nanny.
