Page 08: Black Grimoire

3rd person's POV

Walking to store after store, the two Black Bulls are done with shopping. Along the way Asta was moved by Y/n's kindness, she fought her shyness to buy food and beverages for a few homeless people she spotted by herself. It was inspiring for the boy seeing how comforted and cared those people looked when the girl approached them, greeted them and gave them food and even her time to talk about what they wanted.

The scenarios keep playing over and over in Asta's mind and he looks at the girl beside him. He can't forget how happy she made those men and women with just a meal and her time for a little chat, it really warms his heart.

"You're such a nice person, Y/n. My instinct was right about you." he says with the most sincere honesty and the girl catches it right away.

"...I'm sorry..." she lows her head.

"For what is that apology now?" he inquires giggling.

"I mean... I'm not used to compliments so I don't know how to answer or react..."

"Hahaha." with that laugh, Asta gets a slap on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at you, I swear."

"You don't sound convincing." the other blushes a little and pouts.

"Asta-san!" a short girl runs to the little Black Bull wizard. "Good afternoon!"

"Minosa!" Asta waves at his friend, while Y/n hides behind him when Yuno and Klaus join their companion.

"Who's the girl that tries to hide behind you, Asta?" Klaus adjusts his glasses. "Is she the new member everyone talks about?"

"Yeah, she's Y/n." the kid without magic speaks for his teammate since her grip got tighter around his hand. "Everyone talks about her? Why?"

"Well, your Captain keeps saying that he got the best wizard in every meeting, so..." Mimosa peeks over the shy girl who looks down to avoid eye contact. "Hello Y/n-san, I'm Mimosa."

"H-h-hello..." she goes closer if possible to Asta and bends on her knees to be shorter than him. "N-nice to meet you..."

"She doesn't look as strong as your Captain is saying, Asta." when Yuno opens his mouth, Klaus scolds him and Mimosa chuckles nervously.

"Hey prick, she's very strong, alright? She's just not used to stay in loud places and full of people!" Asta takes her defences, but Klaus points out that yelling isn't the best if she's like that. "Oh shit, I'm so sorry Y/n."

"I-i-it's ok..." she looks up and sees the the trio better. "A-are they your f-friends?"

"Yes, they are from the Golden Dawn squad. And this idiot here is my childhood friend and rival, we were left at the Hage village so we grew up together. He's famous because this bastard was chosen by the four-leaf clover Grimoire."

"....Is it an amazing thing?"

"You don't know??" Klaus shouts surprised that she doesn't know such basic thing, but when the girl jolts and apologizing hides more, he apologizes. "My bad, I thought you'd knew why is eye-catching having his Grimoire."

"She comes from another country, obviously she doesn't know." remarks Asta.

"....I apologize but since he doesn't look strong at all, I thought it was something related to luck and not power."

Yuno's eye twitches and glares at the girl, then Klaus and Mimosa low-key try to keep him calm when Asta bursts into a loud laugh.

Y/n, sharp your hearing. We got problems.
