Yuno's POV

Not five minutes later the departure, Astraea-san keeps asking if he's too heavy and I don't know how to make him understand that I physically don't feel anyone's weight when I carry them like this. Aslan seems the one who makes you work so that he can ditches his own job, so he doesn't even care and he just insults his own king again. While that asshole testes my nerves, Asta tries his best to comfort the Lord and help me get my point.

"I feel bad though. I can fly, so I can follow you... Are you sure I'm not too heavy? If so please say it and I'll get off this instant."

"Astraea-sama, it doesn't change anything for me if you are on or off the spell. Please, I'm fine and so you are."

"If you insist so much..." I peek over my shoulder and he looks rather uncomfortable. "And please drop the formalities. They make me feel uneasy."

I'm so confused by this man. I can't read him at all, he's so contrasting with everything he does. It pisses me off because someone as stupid as my rival understands him better than me, there is no way.

"Oi." I whisper to Asta once he's close to me. "How do you deal with Y/n's father?"

"Mh? It may be hard at first, but at the end you have to treat him like you'd treat a child."

"He is clearly not a child. He's an adult and a leader of a realm."

"He's not human, Yuno." it's been a while since I've saw Asta so serious so I let him explain. "He had the worst time of his life because of human race, that's why we are not well accepted by his people. He spent centuries, ages all by himself with nobody to talk or play, the few times he was in company he was always insulted, threatened and misunderstood which worsened his image. So treat him like a kid, give him praises, hugs, spend time with him and give him something to craft. He's that simple, he finds happiness in the most little things that for us are boring."

Is that so? Using my magic I grab a bunch of leaves and sticks and bring them for the Lord. "Astraea-san, can you do something with these?"

"Huh? Sure." he puts the material on his lap and silently starts to intertwine to create something.

"You bastard, you don't believe me?" Asta growls at me but I don't care. I had to see with my own eyes if that Lord is a child trapped in an adult body.

"It's not that I don't believe you, it's the whole thing that is absurd. How can someone with that scary voice and endless mana be so easy to handle? He threatened the Wizard King, insulted his Captains and basically said that Clover is not worth it for him. Turns out all was a plan to make the Wizard King see the problem of our kingdom, and in the end he helps us anyways. Then he treats your senpai so tenderly, he heals your arms and argues with his own soldier. Without mentioning that he scared the life out of me and Bell before with just a gaze. A person like him cannot be treated like a child, come on."

"You gave him something to do though. Just like a kid." I look behind and I click my tongue seeing that Asta is right. Astraea-san is so focused on whatever he's doing and he's not complaining about himself no longer, nor he seems uncomfortable. "I win this time."

"There's no way. I'll prove you wrong." I murmur focusing on the way ahead.

-Hage Village-

We land at the church, and Sister Lily who was out to dry the laundry is so relieved to see us that she cries and runs into our arms. Shortly after, thinking the monster was here, Father and the children run out too to help Sister, but when they see us, they all have the same reaction. An unseen relief and tears in their eyes as they launch themselves over me and Asta. When they calmed down to let us stand, their attention is immediately on the first thing they see. Astraea-san of course, his height only is enough eye-catching for a person to ignore everything else.
Like Aslan predicted, everyone steps back and is visibly worried, which makes the Lord sighs in a sad way and his servant snorts enterateined by all of this.
Before I can open my lips to speak up, Asta beats me at it.
Dang it.
