How do you get a girl completely obsessed with a man to turn against him? That's what Matsuda and Aizawa had been trying to figure out ever since they contacted L.

Misa was their first goal, since she'd be the difficult one. They wanted to get her out of the way first so they could just quickly grab Takada once they'd gotten to Misa. They needed a way for her to willingly testify against light, as well as not go squealing to him about the plan.

How do they go about this? That's what they had to figure out?

"I mean she is pretty devoted to him. You think if we expose he's been with that Takada girl as well she'll start to see him as a cheater?" Matsuda replied.

"Maybe, although she seems to already be aware of Takada. I bet she'd not too pleased but going along with it anyway" Aizawa sighed.

"We could... man I don't wanna have to resort to threatening her or anything, what should we do?"

"That's what I'm trying to figure out..."

The two men were at a loss. Misa was just so attached to Light, how would they even manage to pry them apart?

"Oh- wait. Remember when we first released them from confinement and she got mad at Light for something he said?" Matsuda perked up.

"Oh yeah... what was that. Something about kissing her even though he didn't have feelings and taking advantage of her?" Aizawa replied.

"That's it! I can't remember the exact conversation but maybe we can try and recreate that? Like make her realise he's just taking advantage of her?"

"I mean making her realise he's using her would definitely pry them apart, but how do we convince her?"

Just when they think they've cracked the code another question pops up. This was getting frustrating, but god they wanted this case over and done with. It'd been over a year now, L had been dead for months, Light had been sabotaging the case from the inside for months. It all just needed to be put to and end.

"We could uh... we could maybe wait until they argue over something and take Misas side? So she feels like she's in the right?" Matsuda suggested.

"I mean it could work, but only if the argument is about the right subject. Otherwise they'll know we're tying to pry them apart" Aizawa replied.

"You can convince her Lights done something horrible to her"

The two jumped at the sudden voice, and turned to see Mogi in the doorway. They'd been busted, although it seems like he was finally on their side...

"You... think we're right?" Aizawa asked.

"You know, I really didn't want to believe it. But yeah, Light's definitely Kira. It's been too long to deny it, although Cheif Yagami is still in denial" Mogi replied.

A wave of relief washed over them, finally they'd convinced almost everyone. It was just Lights dad left. Although they didn't have high hopes on convincing him.

"What made you realise?" Matsuda asked.

"After Aizawa pointed it out, and showed the security video I was already leaning toward believing you. But I guess I just needed time to process. Then ever since you pointed it out I started noticing just how suspicious he acts. I really should have known, L was right he always is" Mogi replied.

He took the seat at the table opposite the other two, the three of them now in on the plan together. The goal? Get the girls to turn against Light. The execution? Eh, they're still working on that.

"Now I'm not too sure how, but if we convince Misa that Light has done something that's against her personal morals then that'll sour her view of him. That we we can jump in and take over, turn her against him" Mogi explained.

"Matsuda you were her manager for a while, what's something she absolutely hates?" Aizawa asked.

Matsuda thought for a moment, recalling all the times Misa got mad at something, or cried over something trying to remember the reasons why.

"Well she refused to kiss anyone on a movie set because she had a boyfriend. So I'm guessing she hates cheating, although she seems aware of Takada... unless she's not aware that Light was DATING her too. She could be under the impression they were just friends" Matsuda explained.

"Hmm... I'll have to look into that. So potentially we can convince her he's cheated, which he has. That'll make her heartbroken and angry at Light and we can use that" Aizawa replied.

Matsuda tapped the table trying to think of any other things Misa showed signs of hating. She was usually a pretty happy person, or at least she acted like one. So it was hard to remember times she'd been upset.

"Well... she also got really mad at someone she was working with for making fun of a characters dead parents. Probably because she herself has dead parents. So I guess she must hate people who don't take trauma seriously" Matsuda added.

"Well we all know Light absolutely doesn't take that seriously. I mean, we all saw how many times he tried to get under L's skin, I don't know what happened to L but clearly he had some kind of trauma" Mogi replied.

"That true. I'm not sure what happened to him either but it's very obvious whatever it was effected him a lot. Light was just an asshole for trying to trigger him" Aizawa said.

So cheating and not taking trauma seriously seemed to be two delicate things for Misa, both things Light had done before just out of her line of view. Exposing him for those actions could be all it takes to turn Misa against him.

"Well it's all we really have going so us, it's worth a shot" Aizawa said.

"Matsuda should be the one to tell her, he's closest to her age and was her manager for a while so she'd probably feel more inclined to trust him" Mogi replied.

"Ok, if we can get our hands on some sort of proof Light has done these things I'll tell her, hopefully this works" Matsuda replied.

The three had a plan, even if Cheif Yagami wasn't in on it it could still work fine. They had to just push on and do what was needed even if they didn't have everyone on their side. Plus, Aizawa knew L was watching them all from beyond the grave and waiting for vengeance. The two weren't super close, but he still felt the need to avenge his unjust death. And whoever that 'special person' was that's with L, he'd make sure they saw Lights downfall too.
