Kori's POV

"10 minutes until you're 16, how you feeling?"

"I don't know how to feeeeelllll, like I don't think I'm gonna feel any different." I said as I set my phone up on my computer as SpongeBob played off it.

"What are you excited for?"

"To learn how to drive and then start whipping." I laughed looking into the camera.

"I could teach you, I know how to drive."

"I forgot that you know to drive. You'll be my personal instructer."

"Nah I wouldn't trust you driving though."

"Me? I don't trust you. You're a speed demon when you drove me that one time. Ain't no way I'm losing my life." He pursed his lips at that.

"But nah what else are you excited for?"

"Ummmm oh the money I'm getting of course and going to eat at IHOP. And hopefully seeing you if you wanna be nice and drop by after schooooooooollllll," I dragged hoping he would say yes.

"Duh I'm gone drop by. Also what time you going to IHOP?"

"About 10am Ima go there." He nodded in response before we sat in silence watching our shows.

"Happy birthday Koriiii!" Samir screamed over FaceTime which startled me.

"I'm 16 and shiiiii," I said cheesing before saying my thanks.

Honestly being 16 like that's such a pretty number for your age.

It's a school day but my parents are being nice and letting me stay home. I don't really have anything planned at all for today as I didn't want to do much. Really just wanted to chill all day.

But I was going out with my family + Willow to a little dinner so that was sweet.

But I couldn't chill too much because my dad and little brother were still gonna be home.
