chapter 90.
rule 90. cherish the day
11am in brooklyn
Kori's POV

bebe: i got breakfast
bebe: i'll be back in about 15

It was our last day in the hotel and I did not want to go home and then have to go back to work tomorrow.

But this is just how life is currently.

Baby, it's alright (It's alright)
Go ahead and take your time
But you gotta make your mind
Make your mind up, ooh
Girl, it's on you to tell me what you wanna do

I had already showered and got dressed in a graphic and shorts. For my hair, I pulled it into a ponytail and called it a day.

So I listened to Bryson as I finished up Samir's gift which was an assortment of items as an end of summer thank you.

I got him a snoopy plush blanket, build a bear axolotl, some Lego flowers, true religion hoodie, and my most favorite part was a scrapbook of us.

It was so cute to make because I could put all the pictures of us together from the beginning of our friendship to us only a few days ago.

And on each page I wrote little notes.

Besides pictures there were also the petals of flowers he had bought me, the flower he gave me on test day, bandaids(unused of course) for times I got hurt while skating.

Little things for different moments.

I love getting creative with my gifts for him. It was a good way to spend my summer outside of work when I didn't wanna be bored or on my phone.

By time I had settled everything the time had passed by and I heard the door opening. I rushed to stand in front of him when he stepped in holding our breakfast and an assortment of flowers.

"For you." He smiled holding out the flowers. There were about 4 different bouquets.

"They're so prettyyy!" I exclaimed leaning in to kiss him.

"You okay?" He asked raising his eyebrow.

"Yesss, I have gift for you."

"I have another gift for you."

"The food?" I asked and he shook his head side to side.

"Something else, but you should show your gift first."

"Okay hand me the stuff, cover your eyes and stay put." While I put the stuff down he washed his hands and when I came back I led him over to the bed.

"Okay you can uncover your eyes now." I said and he removed his hands and looked down.

"Ooooo you got me a new blanket," he smiled opening it up and wrapping it around himself.

"This fire." He said looking at me and then the bed.

"I ain't even peep there's like more stuff." He said and I lightly laughed.

"MORE LEGOS!" He exclaimed picking up the box. "Can we build it today?"

"Of course."
