i woke to jayden sleeping next to me. i thought it was nice at first until i realized she's still here. IN SAN DIEGO when she has to be at school at 9😐. that's a two hour drive she's going to be late today. i groan as i get out of bed. i open my door and hear dishes moving around downstairs. is my mom home?

"mooom" i say in my tired voice

"why are you up so early you usually get up at 8. what's wrong? do you need something?" mom says from downstairs

"uhh no i just... i didn't know who was downstairs you woke me up" i groan as i rub my eye

"oh i'm sorry baby i'll be quieter get some more sleep" mom says

"ok" i say

i close my door and look at jayden. she's still sleep. how am i gonna sneak her out?

"jayde" i say in my tired voice

she doesn't move. i get back in bed and shake her awake. she jumps out of her sleep panting. i stare at her blankly as she's trying to calm down.

"bro you just woke me from a nightmare you're a life saver" she pants

i raise my eyebrows as i got out of bed to go to the bathroom. i turn on the sink and grab my tooth brush. i grab the toothpaste and start my morning routine. i got done with brushing and washing my face before jayden came into the bathroom with me.

she's standing at the door frame. i look at her from the sink with gentle eyes, "yes?" i say softly

"i just realized i'm in san diego and school starts for me at 9" she says

i nod, "that's why i woke you up so you can leave" i say

"where am i supposed to go you drove me here" she says

"you have cousins in sd just get them to get you" i say

she raises her eyebrows, "yeah so vinnie can get upset again? no thank you." she says

vinnie🙄. "well you have to leave soon my mom is home now and she doesn't know you're here" i say

she came into the bathroom and up to me, "let me at least get my hygiene done here before i go.. do you have an extra toothbrush?" she says

i grab one from under the sink and give it to her, "don't use up all my toothpaste" i say

she smiles slightly before i walk out the bathroom. i go to start finding my outfit for school today while she's brushing her teeth and cleaning her face. once she was done i was still in my closet looking for an outfit.

jayden stood by my closet door so i look at her, "you really like being around me huh" i say

she smiles. ugh🥰, "yes i love bothering you" she says sarcastically

a smile creeped onto my face and she chuckles, "i could use your opinion on what to wear today i'm struggling" i say

she came into the closet with me, "what am i choosing from?" she asks

her hand brushes against mine. i felt sparks just by the touch of her hand. we had that happen before. but something about time gave me butterflies☺️. i bite my bottom lip for a second before looking at her in the eyes. that kiss just keep playing back in my head. i really wanted to kiss her that night.

jayden smiles a little at me, "you felt it too right?" she asks softly

i blush, "a little" i say softly
