last night i went to sleep on time right after jules left. i was surpised i was able to sleep right after she left me. tonight is the varsity boys basketball game and everybody that's coming out to the game will be attending katie's kickback party. it's honestly just a celebration party for all her hard work she's done even while being out of school and pregnant yet she was still able to keep the school spirit and themes running. bronny's even coming out tonight and he doesn't even like parties.

im sitting at the counter finishing breakfast with bronny. mom is cleaning up after us as usual. she glances over at us, "hey tonight i need you two to clean up your rooms because this weekend your cousins are staying over" mom says

bronny chokes on his oatmeal. my jaw lowkey dropped a little. its been awhile since we've seen them we used to see them every weekend until  my mom and our uncle started fighting. she kept them away from us, "i thought you uncle cory didn't want to cross paths anymore" i say

mom sighs, "yeah well that was before darian got a watson pregnant and now has a daughter.. they're just visiting to meet miyah." mom says

bronny got himself together, "so we're having a family get together this weekend here?" bron asks

mom nods, "we're going to lake tahoe saturday night through sunday night but yes in the morning everybody will meet here and we'll go on that trip as a family and hopefully it's a good trip" mom says

i raise my eyebrows, "if you and dad dont start arguing it will be" i mumble

bronny laughs, "jayden be respectful" mom says

"i was just being real bron and d agree too" i say

"we really do and i agree that i need a car soon too" b says

"tell your father he's got one he can let you drive" mom says to him

bron scrunches his eyebrows, "i dont want that beat down motorboat he calls a car" b says

i snort and my mom cracks a smile, "well then save up and buy your own" mom says

i smile a little, "oh cmon mom his birthday is monday he's about to be 17 and you guys still haven't gotten him a car" i say

bronny nods with a frown on his face, "i understand me and your father will figure it out" mom says

"where is dad?" i ask

"he never came home last night im not sure" mom says

i look a bron and he's looking at me. we know what that means, "damn" b says to me

i look at mom, "better focus on yourself at this point mom" i say to her

"i always have been. but why was the ring camera going off last night while you were here jayde?" mom asks me

ah shit she caught me. i start smiling, "im going to be late to school lets go bronny" i say

i rush to the door and on the way out i heard her say, "stop sneaking jules in my house"

i literally left the house laughing because she said that. as if i'll ever stop.

2nd period - anatomy

i walk into class and im 2 minutes late. i just finished volleyball practice they know im always late after my sports periods so i get let off the hook everytime. but the second i walked in mrs bridgett handed me a sheet of paper and said we're doing an assignment as a group today and told me i can't sleep today in her class.. knowing damn right i'm still gonna be sleep in the next 10 mins.
