Chapter 31: I Don't, I Can't

I feel so sick... well, i have Haizaki and the team to blame... -_-

I then walk toward the house as I open it up, I didn't expect that this tiny home of mine would be our meeting place for the coming engagement thingy. I am kinda nervous since the great Akashi Seito is in this house.  I feel like sweating bullets.

I later saw Akashi Seijuurou petting my cat, Nat... great... the two mismatch eye creatures I know. 

"Good evening everyone." I uttered softly as father look at me from head to toe. I blink before he made an eye contact between us.

"Yukino, why are you wearing a guy's jersey?" he uttered quite confuse as I blush due to embarrassment.

"I-it it was the basketball team... they were splashing water to each other when I entered the gym so they gave me this to change my clothes." I uttered trying to maintain my calm composure as I acted a little cold.

"It's really cold out there, who send you home? And most likely why are you in the gym?" father ask once more giving me more burden called pressure.

"I was send by one of the team's member a-a-and." I couldn't find my words... I look like an idiot trying to get calm even though I'm in the merge of panic deep within.

"You see, Mr. Ayana... your daughter, due to boredom joined the male basketball club as a manager since she found one of the best university in Japan not challenging." Akashi-kun uttered. I mean Seijuurou uttered... there are two Akashis in this house!

"Would you like to transfer then?" Father ask.

"No... no... no! " I then remembered.

"Ayana-chan! isn't BIGBANG the best?"

"Yana-chan! it's ShiNEE right!?"

"Aya-chan! IT'S EXO ISN'T IT?!"

I could remember those three arguing before my eyes as I couldn't help but to smile.

 "Yu-chan is amazing!

"Kouhai~! Do your best out there!"

"Yukino hime let me mary you please!"

"GO FOR IT AYANA!"

"Just don't listen to them Ayana-san."

Kazunarie, Hayama-senpai, Moriyama-senpai, Wakamatsu-senpai and Imayoshi-senpai has been supportive on their own way. Except for someone....

"Yukidiot..."

Why did I remember him lastly... still I couldn't help to smile.

"There are things that I couldn't leave behind..." I uttered smiling at them, then I went back to the topic. I then slightly bowed down. "Please let me change my clothes now so I can join this little meeting of ours formally." 

They allowed me as I quickly went to my room and change my clothes to those more comfortable ones. I then realize... just realize I'm wearing jersey number 9 and this jersey belongs to.... Haizaki...

I shrugged anyway, despite of me blushing.

Opening to the fact I fantasize how lucky the jersey was on Haizaki's amazing muscular figure with his sweat marked all over it. lol... he's still annoyingly handsome in my eyes, even I was discourage to see his black dyed hair back in high school XD. They're like worms.

I then went back to reality... I have to change clothes to prepare for the worst.

As I went out of the room my father and Mr. Akashi Seito were lightly laughing. They then gesture me to join them as they force... not really, they just told me to sit beside Akashi who then let go of Nat as the cat laid on my lap. 

"Had you became close recently?" Father smiled at me as he look at Aka- I mean Seijuurou. The red haired simply smiled.

"Well, I got to ask her out two times... I already know her a little as much as she knows me a little well to." He replied formally, as I stared into my cat's mismatch orbs deeply. My heart seems to beat faster than ever.

"Things are going well then, you are well aware that both our businesses has stood strong and rich for the pass years and had created a name in the whole world." Mr. Seito uttered as my lip slightly trembled, I then petted my cat with my shaking hands to hide it with the motion. "Both the Akashis and the Ayanas has been having this competition for quite a while..."

No I don't want to.

"Why won't we end this competition then?" My father's gentle voice send shivers to my spines. 

"To make this possible,      is it alright for the both of you to get married in the future?" the both of us grew completely silent as the two elders before us waited for our answere.

"The marriage could be set after you graduated."

Father... no

"Or do you have any plans after you graduate?"

I don't want to...

"It would be nice to end this competition sooner or later."

"Father..." I manage to chirp out yet both mine and Akashi's parents were just busy talking and all planning about the mirage, engagement, business or something. Forgetting that I and Seijuurou exist. 

I tried to swallow the heavy lump on my throat as Akashi look at me worriedly, I smiled at him. I then mustered my courage up and called out once more. "Father..." it was a very low voice.

Trembling as I was quite annoyed... I gritted my teeth, clench my fist as I stood up. "Father!" I exclaimed it yes, but it was still low and soft for me.

My father stared at me straight into the eye as I replied it with my rather sad ones. I had convince myself that Seijuurou's a fine man, yet after knowing his story I just can't, and with my thoughts filled of hazy things like if I ever learn to love him he will never love me for he loves someone else. "Co-could we talk about this some other time...?" 

Silence filled my house.

"Why? Don't you want to get married? Is Seijuurou-kun the pro-" I raise my hand cutting my father off.

"No, Seijuurou-san is a wonderful man, but... but.... I don't love him.... He loves someone else... I- I'm not feeling quite well now due to the water throwing earlier.... I have an headache I might not be able to decide straightly if ever." I manage to pull a smile, things are getting frustrating. "I- I'm sorry..."

[AN: the italic words were the things she wanted to say, but she just uttered it in her mind.]

I don't know... but also due to stressed, frustrating the cold water plus the warm greetings... I really had an headache... "Excuse me."

I was about to step forward when i suddenly lose balance.

"YUKINO!" whoever's voice that is, I didn't care. All I felt is that someone manage to catch me, my sight was blur as all I could see was a mop of red hair.

"Her fever is high!"

"SEIJUUROU! GO GET THE CAR!"

"yes father."

Those were the last things I heard as my sight went dark not knowing what happened after I was caught by someone.
