When two people are meant to be regardless of what happens they will meet and end up together. Having a soulmate is the basic definition of sharing your soul with someone who is implied to be your partner. The entire quest to find your twin flame is a series of battles, wars and games against ourselves and the universe, but it's all worth it, being able to feel fireworks in your heart is the best feeling of the entire journey, those small moments like breaking into an amusement park, seeing the snow, racing around the house, dancing on the shore and watching sunrise are the minutes that keep you from giving up, at least that's what kept me standing. They all sum up at the end into a memory book made from only two souls that understand each other the best. It is scary and risky you don't know at what instant you would fall and get a bruised kneecap, making it hard to stand again. You don't know when will the wind and rainstorm become too strong pushing you off the edge of a cliff, they all push you back but you have to stand your ground, I stood my ground but I still was afraid I wouldn't make it.

"That was a great show I must say." My vision was no longer clear, the tears made it hard to recognise what just happened, forcing my head up I stare at Xavier who stood in front of me with the most giant smirk on his face.

"You think you are all smart, faking my death, you are so naive to think you have won already." My voice was so low yet steady, "Ivanov," My eyes met his and that's when I couldn't hold back what I had kept in all along, "This isn't over, you just began something you won't be able to end, You put fuel to the fire but did you forget hell is already burning hot without your help." His smirk belittles but doesn't disappear, the steps closer to me, "You think you are so sneaky to just blow up a warehouse and show I died." I laugh through my teary eyes, "We've seen and we've heard but we never spoke, that doesn't mean we are unaware."

"Alexandra I think you should shut that big mouth of yours and be thankful I didn't ruin you." He resumes his face inches away from mine, "I won, and there is nothing your words can do to change the reality I just built." A smile cracks on my lips, "What reality, what you build is an idealism." His fist meets up with my jaw pushing my head to the side, "Alexandra, don't push my buttons when you don't know the consequence." Pain spread through my face, forcing my head in his direction I let out a low laugh, "Xavier, I don't mind the consequence I will face them just fine, the only person who has to worry is you, cause hells arrows are all being sent your way if I were you I would keep an eye on my little princess Mila, who is most probably alone at home with her nanny Yulia Sokolov." His eyes widen at my words, for the last four years no one has known his daughter's name or has seen her at least that's what Aida told me, and now hearing her name roll off my tongue wasn't something he expected, "Not going to lie but Mila looks nothing like her mother except for her black hair and pink lips, must be hard to look at her and remember your late lover." A smile breaks onto my face recalling Aida's words.

Flashback

"Are you sure you want to go there?" I stare away from the steering wheel waiting for Aida's response, "I mean we made it halfway through so what is the point of going back." She jokes,

"Aida how long have been related to these Russians?"

"For as long as I remember, it all happened at the Rome Police Acadamy, I think I was eighteen back then, I joined and the day when I entered the building to sign my name and do the paperwork I met Lev Orlov he was an affable and charming man and I enjoyed being around him when we both got accepted in the academy we ended up spending most our times together and he would help me around with whatever I needed, The first year of the Acadamy went by with us messing around with each other but the second year was when things got heated between us, and then on my birthday September 4th he asked me if I wanted to go on a trip with him to Russia for three days, I was only nineteen and I liked this man, therefore, I just said yes. " She continues, My eyes drifted from the road to her from time to time, "We went to Russia he said he wanted to introduce me to his family, I was so nervous, When we arrived at his families house which was more like and victorian era palace, I mean I wasn't shocked that he was from a wealthy family thanks to his Giorgio Armani suits and Mercedes-Benz car. Meeting his family wasn't the image I had in mind cause I didn't see anyone except Xavier and Elena, back then Elena was heavily pregnant, she was quite friendly and sweet, but Xavier was just as ruthless and cold as he is now. Lev asked me to be his girlfriend which I accepted without a second thought and then our relationship grew. We finished the Academy I was accepted in one of Rome's police stations and things were great, I moved in with Lev and that's when he would travel back and forth between Russia and Italy, I would spend most of my time alone, he wasn't the same man, he was quieter and he kept secrets. If I tried to talk to him about the situation he would just say he was working on a case, which made zero sense. Not long after I met Anthony, it wasn't the most ideal meeting cause he barged into the station with a couple of his men and began threatening us, I was naive and wasn't aware of what was happening in Italy so I talked back and stood against him, He didn't like what I was doing but I didn't care, If he said something I would bite back, I didn't like him so I did a secret background check on him weirdly I found his apartment address and I was dumb enough to try and check the place after my work, So I made it to the luxurious place and broke in, the place was clean and reflected him but then again things weren't adding up so I checked more thoroughly only to find a file filled with information about my boyfriend, everything about him was in that one file, he blood type, age, address, job, and even the number of times he travelled between Italy and Russia. Not being able to digest I lost track of time and the next thing I knew was a gun being held against my skull, Anthony hated my guts or so I thought, he cuffed my wrist to his couch while glaring and pointing a gun at me. That's pretty much how that went until I yelled at him for stalking my colleague, I couldn't risk telling him that he was my boyfriend, he didn't believe me until I showed him our graduation pictures and then he started to believe what was going on, He threatened to kill me if I told Lev about anything which I refused, that only got him madder and told me my so-called partner was the righthanded man of the Russian Empire, and that he was a spy from the Russian borders, and only joined the academy to be able to have information from the inside, which he soon realized wasn't going to to work since the Italians weren't as dumb as they thought." Her voice lowers before she sucks in a deep breath, "I wasn't able to believe him after all for all I knew this man was a stalker and was dangerous, but what he said next was what threw me off guard, he told me his real name wasn't Lev Orlov but Ilya Stepanov, I was barely processing things, but when I told him that I had already met Xavier and Elena Ivanov was when Tony yelled at me saying I got myself into shit without knowing the aftermath. That day I made it out of that apartment safe but I couldn't wrap my head around everything so I went back home and called Lev but he didn't answer I called him for weeks but I heard no response, later on, I found out he resigned and went back to Russia, I was merely broken, I got closer to Tony but never told him about my real relationship with Lev, but then I got a call from Lev and he explained why he left and that Xavier needed him around after Elena had given birth to a baby girl called Mila he sent me her pictures and she looked adorable with her pink lips, short black hair reflecting her mother, and forest green eyes. But that was the last time I heard from him. Soon after I got a call from Tony, informing me that Elena was dead." She wipes the tears from her cheeks before smiling, "Aida I am so sorry for everything you went through but at least you met Anthony and look where you are now." I try to comfort her,

"I don't regret anything I did in my past but sometimes even that gets a little too dark and bitter, regardless of how bright my future is." She mumbles.

People say you have to let go of the past if you want to see the future, but that is absurd if you are not ready to assassinate your demons just yet.

End of flashback

"Alexandra, don't reckon just because you were able to manipulate Alessandro with your words you could get your ways through my head, and the next time you say a word about my daughter I will make sure to cut your tongue and hang it on my doorway as a souvenir so others know what happens to people who can't watch their mouth." He leaned on me, removing the hair from my face before pulling on it harshly.

I groan glaring at him, "It's funny how you take everything the wrong way I was just looking out for you, after all, your best man Ilya Stepanov is not in Russia but with you meaning your daughter is surrounded by a bunch of lazy sheep, But here you are expressing your kinks for tying, slapping and hair pulling, Sorry to break it to you again but it's not the right circumstance." He lets go of my hair stepping away, "Just watch your back." I smirk laughing,

"The Madhatter can't be stopped that easily my love, he is mad if you haven't noticed." I let out a wicked laugh.
