AN: I apologize. This is turning into it's own mini story, but there have been ample messages asking for it to be expanded, soooo I'm going to continue it.

"Oh, God. Lee, honey. Please, please wake up."

...

"I don't know, Alex. She was awake one minute and passed out the next! And I can't get her to wake up again! Just get your ass over here!"

...

"Hang in there, Lena. Just hang on. We are going to take care of you. I promise."

...

"I don't know, Rubes... Neither of us know. But she will be okay."

...

A low groan breaks the silence. The light is too bright again. There's a weird metallic taste in the back of her mouth.

"Oh, thank god. Alex. Alex! She's awake!"

Lena grimaces at the loudness. At least there is no obnoxious beeping this time. She slits her eye open just to slam it shut again. Too bright.

"Hey, honey. Welcome back. How are you feeling?"

Lena groans again. She flails an arm like she is swatting at an annoying fly.

A new voice fills the space. "We are pumping you with pain killers, fluids, and finally replacing the blood you lost. You should have let us do that the first time around."

"Alex. We talked about this," Sam warns. "Don't."

The harsh buzzing from the florescent lights stops suddenly. Lena risks peeking out again. It's much darker. Thank God. She sees the two women hovering over her: Sam looking overly worried and Alex appraising. She huffs in annoyance.

Sam gives her a knowing look. "Don't even, Lee. You passed out in the middle of a panic attack, and I- I couldn't get you to wake up. I didn't know what else to do, and I know you would hate me more if I took you to a hospital." Sam rambles a bit. She knew Lena wouldn't be happy, but she wasn't willing to risk her best friend.

Panic attack. That's right. Lena's remembering. Kara's gone.

"Deep breaths, Lena. We don't need a repeat," Alex instructs calmly.

Lena's eyes dart to the redhead. She didn't even realize that her breathing quickened. She did her best to take a deep breath, but it was only a short inhale.

"Hey, sweetie. It's alright. You're alright," Sam voice is laced with so much concern.

Green eyes dart to her best friend. She can hear them, but it's slowly being drowned out by her blood rushing in her ears.
