Bella's officially graduated middle school. After 3 years of ups and downs will high school prove to be the "best four years of her life" or will it be her most challenging time? Leia's getting older and beginning to form new thoughts, experiences...
The Big Kids' Bedroom (9:30 AM) (March 22nd) (Bella's Perspective) "We gotta go, we don't want to run into traffic!" I heard Kathleen say. My stomach pain got 10x worse this morning. I've never felt so horrible. On top of that, I felt strangely wet. I'm gonna try to use the bathroom. Something doesn't feel right. I was wearing my new bikini with shorts and a top because I wanted to keep it simple. I sat down on the toilet, used the bathroom, and- "Ohh no." The toilet paper was stained a deep red. "I didn't think this would be happening right now. I mean-"
Flashback: "When did you get your first period?" I asked Maria, my biological mother. "When I was 15. I was a late bloomer like you." I chuckled. "I thought I'd never get it. But there it was one day." "You have a story behind it?" "I'll sum it up for you in three words. White. Class. Presentation." "Oh no!" "Oh, yes!" We both laughed. End of Flashback
"Well, I am turning 15...I should've gotten it already." Like mother, like daughter, I guess. I looked at my clothes. The bikini bottom was ruined, but my pants weren't. "Kathleen?!" I looked around the house. I checked her bedroom. I saw her boyfriend. "Oh, sorry." "It's fine. What are you looking for?" "Kathleen." "Oh, she's in the car." No, no, no! I can't ask for her help in front of everyone. Or him for that matter. "Is it something I could help-" "Uh um, no thanks! It's okay!" I ran away. What do I do? I went back into the bathroom and sat on the toilet. One thing I do know is that I definitely can't move from here anytime soon..... "Bella, I know that you're angry at me and you're in a terrible mood but you're holding everyone up." Mom said. Oh no.... We got into a bit of an argument last night...and I guess now I know why... "Bella?? What's going on in there?" "I can't go, Mom." "Does your head hurt?" "No." "Your stomach?" "No." I lied. "So why don't you want to go? Is it-" "No, Mom. That's not it." "Can you open the door, sweetie?" *************** The Bathroom (Olivia's Perspective)

"What's going on?" I asked in a concerned tone. Bella scratched her arm shyly and looked at the floor. "Well um-" I sat on the tub. "I started my period." My face went from shocked to a happy state of surprise. "Oh, oh my god! Bella...you're a woman now!" I hugged my daughter. I stared into her eyes. She isn't a baby anymore. What am I to do?! "You understand the gravity of this, right?" She nodded. "I can have kids." She said quietly. She didn't seem excited considering she's wanted this since she was 12. "Are you unhappy about getting your period?" "No, it's just...a little shocking. I knew it was coming, I just didn't expect it on the day we had to go to the waterpark. Isn't that my luck? I guess it also explains my moodiness..." We both laughed. "Also, isn't it funny that I got my period while you're trying to find yours?" We laughed again until our faces turned red. "I can't go, can't I?" She asked disappointedly. "I wanna go and have fun with everyone." "You can go, you just have to wear a tampon." "Those scare me." "It's really simple once you get used to it." "Can you show me?" She pleaded. "I can." "I'm scared but let's get this over with, I guess..." As she walked away I reflected on Bella's life with me. I can't believe how fast she's grown up. "Got one." She held it upright. "And I got Tylenol. Just in case." I said. "Alright, let's get this show on the road. And just so you know...you and I need to talk about this later...." I grinned. "Oh my god, Mom! Just show me how to put the tampon in, please!" I grinned. "We're still gonna talk about it!" ******************** Rapids Waterpark (11:37 AM) (Elliot's Perspective) "Daddy, this ride can hold 8 people on it." Leia mentioned excitedly. "The tornado! That looks fun." "Let's see how tall you are first, okay?" Olivia suggested. "Ooo, you're on the green line!" "Yay! Let's go, let's go!" "El, can we go on the Vortex with Eli after this?" "Sure, Noah. Bella, walk up." "I'm coming." Liv told me about this morning. I've watched a lot of little girls grow up, but I shall say watching Bella has been the most unique. "You okay?" "Yeah!" "Mom told me." "Of course she did...." "It's nothing to be embarrassed about. It's a good thing, it means you're healthy, especially with the way you train for dance." She nodded. It was starting to get awkward. "You and Mom can talk more of the specifics later, but I want you to know that-" "Can we not do this right now?" She pleaded while covering her ears. "Alright, alright. Wanna go for a chocolate run later?" She smiled wide. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ The Tornado "Alright, you guys hold on tight!" "Look at that big drop!" Dickie said. "OH NO!" Liv said. "THIS IS AWESOME, HEHEHE!" Leia said as we took a big dip. This ride drops you, spins you in a whirlpool side to side, and then drops you again. "Mom, you're always screaming!" Bella said. "You'll be okay," Maureen shouted. "THAT'S UP FOR DEBATE!" "Look, I can see the end." "Thank god!" "Mommy, did you like the ride?! Guys we should go on it again." "I'm not sure about that." Olivia said. We dropped into a pool of water and got out. "Let's go on the Vortex now! I wanna find Ava." The kids went towards the slide and I looked at Liv. She seemed sad. "You okay?" "I'm just taking it in. Last trip like this before we take in a kid, adopt them, and grow as a family. It just makes me a bit emotional." *************** Campfire on The Beach (Leia's Perspective)
