Your POV
"Come on, lads! Hurry up or you'll miss the game!" You shout in order to get your friends to the living room.
"Sorry, Y/n. Didn't mean to keep you waiting." Your friend Leo says as he walks up to you before sitting by your side on the couch.
"Aye, ah ken. Just be a tad faster next time. Ya lads almost made me lose the game."
"Heh. Well, you know how Sensei is. Specially when Raph loses it."
"Remind me again why rugby is cooler than football?" Speak o' the devil, Raph joins you two on the living room.
"Gonnae no' dae that. Ah ken ye like it."
"Uh-huh... Can ya translate that, Leo?"
"*Chuckles* She said 'Don't be like that. I know you like it.'"
"Oh, yeah? How so?"
You smirk. "The violence. Ye like it."
He shrugs. "Not gonna deny that."
"All right! Rugby night!" Mikey shouts and you turn to him as you shoot him a glare.
"Ey! Haud yer wheesht!"
"Uh..."
"She asked you to be quiet." Leo says as he chuckles.
"Oh, sorry dudette."
"Ooh aye the noo." Donnie says and you turn to him with your eyes wide.
"Dinnae say that again. Ever. Ye wur a wopper pure mate."
"Oh, um..." Donnie trails off and Leo laughs.
"You don't want to know this one buddy. Trust me."
"Oookay...? Anyways, shouldn't we get some popcorn and drinks?"
"I'll get them!" Mikey shouts before heading to the kitchen and you only shake your head as Donnie sits on the other side of the couch.
"You okay there?" Leo whispers and you turn to him with an unamused face before pointing at Donnie.
"Do yer dinger."
"Oh, come on, Y/n. He didn't mean it in a bad way."
"Ah dinnae ken. It sounded like that."
He chuckles which leads you to laugh a bit as well.
You met the turtle brothers a few months ago, as you and your parents moved to New York. One night you were by the window looking at the city lights as you missed your home. That was when you noticed some shadows passing by you.
Out of curiosity you went to the rooftop and noticed the humanoid turtles as two of them were arguing.
After that, they ended up noticing you and at first you were really confused about what they were saying and it was the other way around too.
But lately Leo has been the only one who seems to try to understand you and your slangs. And you appretiate it. Now you don't have to think much about how you should say stuff. You just go and say it, and if the others don't understand, Leo's there to do the translation.
At first you were a bit skeptikal. Why would he be so interested on your slangs? But now, even though you don't have the answer just yet, you don't mind.
