Leo's POV

I laughed a bit as I read what was on my cellphone screen. I was talking to my online best friend, (Y/n). And man, did I have a good time talking to her. When we met, I was reading some online books when I saw a lot of comments in this specific chapter. I got curious and looked through them, and some were hers. After that, I left it aside, but one of the comments mentioned this dating syte she used. I couldn't help but to start a conversation with her after getting an account there - which I still don't know what compelled me to do so - and that was when we started to get to know each other. She was funny, smart and simply awesome. She always managed to make me laugh and relax, even with the silliest texts. And right now, she just sent me a picture of a meme reacting to my previous comment.

-LOL, you always nail it, (Y/n)

-What can I do? Rolling over my screen to find high quality memes, even if they are a bit rusty, is a pretty boring hobby of mine, Leo.

-At least you manage to get some pretty good stuff.

-You should too considering that you don't go to school ;p

-But I do train for a good part of the day ;p

-So do I, Fearless ;p Btw, am I sore

-That's what you get for getting extra training

-Yeah, yeah, wtv :/

I chuckled. She was a martial artist too, though she doesn't consider herself one. After all, she's been taking only self-defense classes, and practiced some other moves on her own. Just then, I heard my name being called by one of my brothers.

-Gotta go. Duty calls

-Aw, man :(

-Sorry :(

-It's okay. Go kick some ass! ;)

Again, I chuckled before putting my phone down. I told her that me and my brothers keep the city safe, "like the police, only not on the same way" - (Y/n)'s words - and that we do that basically every night. Anyways, I got ready for patrol and left with my brothers. Some hours after it started, we stopped in a rooftop and looked down at the city. "Looks like things are pretty calm tonight." I said, but Raph only groaned. "Great. No fun at all."

"At least we can get home earlier." Donnie said. I nodded. "That's actually good considering how much Sensei's been making us train extra hard." I said as I placed my hand on my shoulder and moved it a bit, since it was a bit sore. (Maybe I'll get to talk to (Y/n) more.) I thought as I couldn't help but smile. Just then, Mikey pointed at the alley below us. "Whoa, dudes. Look at that!" We turned to the direction he pointed at and my eyes widened when I saw the girl with (h/c) hair fighting off the Purple Dragons and standing between them and a guy with a little girl. It really surprised me how good she is. I couldn't help but stare at her, I was just hypnotized by her way of fighting. Strong and precise even without an exact technique. That until something on my mind clicked. (Wait a sec... Is that (Y/n)?!!) I had no doubts it was her. After all, it's not every girl who can mix different martial arts and is not in the MMA as an athlete. "Whoa... Dudes, she's really good." Mikey said pulling me out of my thoughts. "I wonder how often she trains." He said.

"To have those reflexes? I'd say three times a week." Donnie commented. I shake my head. "It's not just the reflexes to block and dodge, but to counterattack too. She must train everyday, just like us." Just as I said that, she dodged a punch from the biggest one of them and managed to send him to the ground. And right before he got up completely, she got up before him and hit him hard on his head before charging at the other two. "Still... That's amazing." Donnie said. I nod. "It sure is..." I mumbled. "... Wait, does that mean there's another vigilante jn the city?" Raph asks. "I don't know. She doesn't have any equipment or anything like that. Maybe she was just passing by and now she's helping them." Donnie says right when she knocks down the other two swiftly and quickly. "Talk about a big help." Raph comments. After that, she made sure the two were okay before leaving. I start following her, not even caring if the others are following me. After a while, she gets into a building, which made me stop. I look around and after a while I find her in one of the apartments. My eyes trail off to the roof and see some training equipment there. Just then, my brothers show up. "Guess Leo has a crush on someone." Raph teases, but I only roll me eyes before leaving. "Let's go." I say seriously, but I couldn't help but smile. (Well, at least now I know we live in the same city. But I can't get my hopes too high. She'll freak out as soon as she sees me.)

Timeskip

It's been three weeks since we saw (Y/n) fighting the Purple Dragons, and I just couldn't stop going there and seeing her training. Of course, she wouldn't just train, she'd take a break and mess on her phone. That was when I was sure it was her. One day she was messing on her phone and I decided to call her - yes, we ended up exchanging phone numbers too - and she picked up. We talked for a long time, and to be able to see her reactions to my comments, jokes and stuff like that was amazing. I just wished she could see me. She already told me that she's different, that she doesn't judge a person by their looks, but there's no way I could be sure of it. Anyways, right now I'm on my way to see her. But when I got there, she was nowhere to be found. I frowned. Did something happen to her? Just as I was about to go looking for her, my phone rang. I quickly picked up. "Hey, (Y/n). How are you?" I asked trying to sound like I wasn't worried and in the comfort of my house. Then...

"How about standing right behind you?" She said, making me turn around swiftly only to see her right there with one of her arms crossed and an eyebrow up. I didn't know what to say. She's right there, right in front of me, and I can't think of anything to say. Then, to my surprise, she let out a laughter. "Didn't expect me to be stealthier than you, huh?" She kept laughing as she held her stomach, but I could only stare at her. "H-How did know I was--"

"Oh, please, Leo. You aren't the only one who thought about coming to the rooftops just to see me." I frown. "What do you mean?"

"Well..." She trailed off as she scratched the back of her neck and got her cheeks tinkled pink. "When you said you watched over the city from the rooftops, I had this stupid idea of training on the roof, hoping we'd meet someday."

I was taken aback with that. She did that just because she wanted to see me?! "And... How did you know I was here?" She shrugged. "Around two or three weeks ago, I started to have this feeling that someone was watching me. Then, when you called me, I started to walk around not to look like I was looking for you. And then one night, I found you. I didn't believe it at first, but as we kept speaking, I realized it was you."

"And... You're not... Afraid of me?"

"*Scoff* Why should I be? Shell or not, you're still the Leonardo I know. The Leo that makes me laugh, that lightens up my day, that listens to me when I have a problem and need someone to listen to me, that trusts me enough to tell about his family and his problems... You are still you."

To say I was shocked was an understatement. It never crossed my mind she'd think this way about me. But I'd be lying if I say it didn't make me smile. "You really are amazing, (Y/n). You know that?" She chuckled before tackling me into a hug, catching me off guard. "You tell me that almost everyday." She said. At first, I felt nervous about it. Was it really okay for us to do that? Was she really okay with that? Still, without answering those questions, I just hug her back. "There's something else I want to tell you, Leo." She said as she pulled back slightly after a bit. "What is it?" Before I knew what was going on, she pressed her soft lips against mine. When she pulled back, she opened a big smile, even though her cheeks were with a fine tone of blush. "I really like you."

My eyes widened. "You... Y-You do?" I ask as I also laugh a little. Once she nodded, I couldn't help but cup her cheeks and kiss her, which she retributed. When we pulled back, I beamed at her. "I like you too, (Y/n). A lot. Will you be my girlfriend?" She laughed a bit and pecked my nose. "Thought you'd never ask." She said before we got to kissing again and again.

Guess that whole online thing worked out pretty well for us in one way or other, huh?
