Chapter 4

3rd pov

"Daddy put me down. I want to walk on my own"Rose said after they got off the elevator

"Why?"

"Because l have legs"she said.
"Argh" Lorenzo groaned while putting her down"You and your attitude"he said

"You know l got that from you"she said giggly while running down the stairs.

"Bambina (baby) stop running or you will fall"Lorenzo said worryingly while catching up to her and holding her hand in his.

"Sorry daddy"she said looking down.

"It's okay just don't do it again"said Lorenzo.

"Sir these are the papers you told me to prepare they need to be signed"A middle aged man who works as Lorenzo's secretary said.

"Daddy let go of my hand l wanna see those pictures"she said pointing to the portraits on the walls.

"No will do sweetheart"he responded.

"Please daddy"she said using her puppy eyes.

"Argh fine but don't go out of my sight okay?"

"Yeah" she said before running to where the portraits where, leaving Enzo smiling.

The secretary was in a state of shock it's the first time seeing his boss displaying his emotions, he had always seen him with his cold expressionless face but today, today he saw him showing emotions and that was only because of his daughter.

"Ok you were saying?"Lorenzo asked his secretary causing him to snap out of his thoughts.

"Oh l said the papers you told me to prepare need your signature sir."

"Ok show me where l need to sign"Lorenzo said.

Valentina was admiring the portraits on the walls running her fingers on them.

"Hey you, who are you? Can't you see you are disturbing the workers here"a mean looking lady said.

"I-l'm V-Valanti...."she said before being cut off by the mean lady.

"I don't care who you are you insolent child and how dare you touch these portraits with your filthy hands don't you know how much they cost, they cost a fortune l bet even your parents can't afford these and yet you touch them"she scolded her angrily.

The workers who heard and knew who the child the lady was scolding and insulting belonged to stared at her with terrified expressions on their faces. 'Is she crazy?What does she think she is doing?Doesn't she know who the child she is insulting belongs to?. Oh my god she is so dead' they all thought.

The secretary who was watching the scene while Lorenzo was still signing the papers tapped Lorenzo's shoulder and motioned towards the scene.

What Lorenzo saw made his blood boil, he saw a lady scolding his daughter and pushing her making her fall on the floor. He dropped the papers and ran to his daughter.

Lorenzo's pov

He picked up his daughter and inspected her searching for injures. What he saw made his blood boil more his face was so red with anger.

His daughter was so scared and she was crying while chocking on her crys which broke Lorenzo's heart into pieces, it was the first time seeing his daughter crying like this, he was hurt.

While inspecting her he realized that her hand was bleeding upon noticing that he released a dangerous and cold aura that made everyone present there to tremble in fear.

"Can you hold her for me please. Don't let her see this and cover her ears"l said handing Valentina to his secretary.

"O-Ok s-sir"the secretary said stuttering in fear of what was to happen.

"You, you dared insulting my daughter making her cry and pushed her in the process getting her hand to bleed"l said using the coldest voice they have ever heard.

"S-sorry s-sir l-l d-didn't k-know s-she w-was y-your d-daughter"she stuttered in fear.

"Shh l don't care now all you have to do is pack your belongs now I'm firing you and no don't think I'm going to let you go so easily after what you did"l said looking at her coldly before smirking at her.

"Matteo"l called one of guards.

"Yes sir"he replied standing beside me

"Can you take our guest her after she finish packing to my special space"l said with a devilish grin on my face that can send shivers through people's spines.

"Yes sir l will like to do the honour"the guard said happily understanding very well what his boss was saying.

"Good don't let her escape, l will take my leave now"l said before taking my daughter from my secretary and walking to my office.

3rd pov

Lorenzo left leaving everyone present there terrified and scared. Yes their boss was cold but they never thought that it was to this extend.

They knew that the special place that their boss was talking about was far more special because of the way boss he said it.

The workers might look terrified and scared but the lady looked more scared and anxious that she was about to pee on herself. The guard who was waiting for her was not making her feel any better.

She couldn't stop thinking of what will happen when they get to the special place her boss was talking about but one thing was for sure he will not spare her. She even thought about running but that will only worse the matter so she dropped the idea.

"Miss you are wasting my time let's go l can see that you finished packing your stuff already"the guard Matteo said

"P-please let me leave"the lady begged Matteo getting on her knees.

"I'm sorry l can't do that miss we have to go, besides sir doesn't like waiting"Matteo said he didn't really care about the lady so he dragged her along with him while she was still apologizing.

Lorenzo's pov

"Sit here for a while I'm going to get a first aid kit yeah?"l said to my daughter to which she nodded.

I came back with a first aid kit and applied an ointment gently on her wound to which she flinched at times.l dressed her wound after l finished with applying the ointment.

I looked at her and wiped off the tears on her face with a sad look.

"I'm sorry l know l'm a bad fath..."l said before being cut off.

"Don't finish that sentence you are the best daddy in the whole wide world and you don't need to apologize it's not your fault rather it's that mean lady's fault"Valentina said and Enzo chuckled.

"I love you soo much Rose"l said truly.

"I love you too daddy" Rose said.

"It hurts so much when l see you crying or in pain anyways let's forget about that and go home sweetheart"l said and Rose nodded her head.
