Chapter Twenty - No Brakes

As Razer joined Team RWBY and Doctor Oobleck in their mission to find Ruby, they quickly came across a large camp of White Fang soldiers. They were loading something on the train.

Blake: What are the White Fang doing here?!

Weiss: No doubt up to no good.

Yang: That place is massive! How are we going to find Ruby?!

Razer then uses his Red Lantern Ring to survey the area. He was able to find the captive Ruby deep in camp surrounded by White Fang soldiers.

Razer: Ruby is deep in the compound. She is being escorted by several White Fang guards.

Yang: Say no more. Let's go knock on the door!

With that, Razer along with the rest of Team RWBY and Oobleck commenced their attack. As they reached Ruby's location, she was able to break free and get away. The White Fang guards attempt to chase after Ruby, but Razer charges in and attacks the White Fang soldiers, allowing the others to free Ruby. As the area was cleared, Razer regroups with the others.

Razer: This is the feared White Fang? I expected more out of them.

Yang: Ruby!

Weiss: Are you okay?

Ruby: I'm fine, I'm fine! But listen! Torchwick's got all kinds of weapons and robots down there.

Blake: What?!

Ruby: Androids, mechs, they're all loaded up on the train cars!

Oobleck: Ahhhh, that's ridiculous. These tunnels are sealed, the tracks lead to a dead-end.

As Oobleck says this, the voice of Roman Torchwick is heard on the intercom.

Roman(Intercom): Get to your places, we are leaving now!

Ruby: We need backup. Let me call Jaune.

As Ruby attempts to call Jaune, she gets no signal. Soon enough, the train began to start moving. Left with no other choice,Razer along with Team RWBY and Oobleck took it upon themselves to stop the train. They all made a run for the train and managed to climb on top of the train before it left the station.

Oobleck: Hurry, children! We must get to the front and stop this train!

Weiss: Err... Professor?

Oobleck: Doctor...

Weiss: What's that?

Weiss then points to a strange device on the train.

Oobleck: That my dear... appears to be a bomb.

As Oobleck inspects the bomb, White Fang members begin climbing onboard the train.

Ruby: We got baddies!

Tali: We have to stop this train!

Oobleck: Well, I didn't expect them to go....

Suddenly, the device lights up and begins beeping. It was at this point that the situation immediately became much more dangerous than it already was.

Oobleck:....easy on us. Time to go!

With that, everyone began running away from the bomb. Suddenly, one of the carts decoupled by itself.

Blake: Huh? It decoupled itself!

Oobleck: What?!

Yang: I guess he really doesn't want us on this train.

Soon enough, more began began activating across the train. All they could do was run before the bombs detonated. As all this happened, the chaos attracted a horde of Grimm. It didn't take long for everyone to realize the reason for this.

Oobleck: He's leading Grimm to the city!

Weiss: What?

Oobleck: It's the cars! They detach and explode, creating openings for the Grimm!

Blake: That's insane!

Oobleck: We have to hurry! You four, go below and try to stop those bombs!

Ruby: What about us?

Oobleck: We're going to stop this train.

Ruby: Yeah, I know. I said that earlier.

When a group of White Fang soldiers attacked them, a wave of red energy knocks them off the train. 

Ruby: Whoa...nice takedown, Razer.

Razer: That....wasn't me. 

???: Hello, old friend. 

As the voice called out, Razer and the others turned to see Vice hovering above them. Razer was shocked as he recognized the Red Lantern.

Razer: Vice....

Yang: You know this guy?!

Vice: Oh how the mighty have fallen, Razer. 

Razer: Leave. This is my fight. 

Ruby: We're not leaving you alone.....

Razer: Go! Stop the train at all costs. I will not be far behind. 

Left with no choice, Team RWBY and Doctor Oobleck left Razer to try and stop the train. 

Razer: Why are you here? 

Vice: Did you really think you could abandon Atrocitus's cause and not expect consequences? You and I both know better.

Razer: I have no intention of going back to the Red Lanterns. 

Vice: Then I'll bring your corpse to Atrocitus!

As Vice said that, he attacked Razer with a blast of Red Energy from his Ring. Razer then forms a construct shield to protect himself. Vice then charges in and lands several devastating punches on Razer. 

Vice: Atrocitus had such high hopes for you, Razer. You were the very personification of righteous fury! Now look at you. You are but a shell of your former self. 

Razer snarls and he presses the attack on Vice. Razer then pounces on Vice and hurls blood at Vice. Vice then unleashes a powerful shockwave which knocks Razer back. Vice then uses his Ring to pick up one of the destroyed train cars and throws it. The train car flies past Razer and straight for the train where the others were. Without hesitation, Razer charges in and grabs the train with his Ring. He throws it at Vice who slices it in half with a sword construct. As the battle dragged on, it was clear to Razer that this fight would end in a stalemate. Left with no other choice, Razer unleashes a blinding shockwave which stuns Vice, allowing Razer to escape. As Vice recovers, he looks at Razer and makes no effort to chase him.

Vice: Run. traitor run. You have only prolonged the inevitable.

As Razer escaped, he along with the others at the main car. They could see that the train is about to crash into the final barrier, leading to Vale. Left with little time to react, Weiss shields them with an ice spell, allowing them to survive as the train crashes into Vale. They soon find themselves in the central part of Vale. They all hear the sound of low rumbles and growls from behind them Suddenly, a giant King Taijitu emerges from the hole, and multiple Grimm start pouring into Vale. The civilians scream as they attempt to flee the chaos. The sounds of screams and roars fill the air. In that moment, Vale was gripped in an all out attack by the Grimm.
