"vamos marcelo!!! con todo guapito!!!" i scream my lungs out during the match. my friend elbows me and tells me to shut up. i tell her to fuck off and continue cheering loudly for marcelo. the match wraps up 4:3 it was a close call. i tell my friend to come down with us to see my brother, diego, but in reality i wanted to see marcelo and i was sure she knew that.

"que bonito sis. a mi casi ni me apollas ah pero no fuera marcelo verdad." i give diego a hug and hit hit head. he rubs his head and i tell him to tell marcelo about the party he was having for creed. yes diego was throwing a birthday party for our dog. very diego of him.

"oye mar tendré una fiesta en mi casa esta noche para creed si quieres venir." marcelo nods says he'll be there. i smile at him and wave as we leave.

i fix the little bowtie on creed and then let him go off. my turn to get ready. if i knew diego was going to put everything on me i would not have agreed. i open my closet and look at my options for tonight.

i make sure to wear a cute dress. if marcelo was coming i had to dress to impress.

i go downstairs and see diego with creed and memo. memo says hugs me and mentions how much i've grown. i smile and ask if he wants a drink. he says no because he was driving. i nod and say bye. i look around the place was already getting filled. i wanted a drink.

i could barely get in between the people to the bar. i see marcelo with a few others beside the pool. i make my way towards them. the only thing between us was some balloon decor.

"oye la hermana de diego verdad. que es tu novia?" i hear marcelo laugh. "claro que no parece chicle no me deja en paz. nunca me gustaría estar con alguien como ella." i look down. maybe it was for the best that i heard this. i run inside making sure they couldn't see me.

i go to my room and cry softly against my pillow. what was i doing wrong? i mean i know i'm too clingy but i didn't think it was that bad. diego walks in and sits on my bed. he rubs my back and comforts me. "ya ya calmada. vi todo. estarás bien habrán personas mejores en tu vida." i nod and he wipes my tears. "no me gusta verte así. eres mi hermana y te amo." i cry softly into my brother's arms.

~

it's been weeks since that party. i cut off all communication with marcelo and this would be the first game i would see since the last. i felt nervous but i knew i was ready. anything for my brother.

"vamos diego!!!! con todo hermano mio!!!"

i cheer diego on from the stands the whole game. we go down to the field after the game and i see marcelo. he tries to smile at me but i ignore him and give diego a hug. "bien hecho hermanito." i hug him. "gracias sis. tus gritotes me apoyaron." i laugh as he picks up his things. we are about to leave when i feel someone grab my wrist. i turn and see marcelo. i try to pull away. "cual es tu problema?" i don't reply and try to remove his grasp but he doesn't seem to want to let go. "marcelo déjame por favor." he looks at me waiting for a response. i turn to diego who i could see was getting angry. "esta bien ahora te alcanzo. solo sera un minuto." he doesn't move but i nod my head and he leaves us.

"marcelo déjame ir!" i manage to pull my wrist from his grip. "todavía no basta que dijiste que yo era sólo un chicle. que no te importaba si alguien se me acercaba por que no éramos ni seremos nada. pues esta bien no somos ni seremos nada nunca eso te lo prometo." he looks at me his eyebrows furrow. "acaso escuchaste eso?" i laugh. "claro como el agua marcelo. lo escuché bien clarito. así que as me el favor y déjame en paz. si tu no quieres un chicle no pasa nada me alejo y ya." his eyes get sad.

i look at him one last time before turning to leave. "adios marcelo." i turn and walk away. i feel like i finally have power over myself and my feelings.

buenas!!! i don't have much to say but i hope y'all enjoy this. i know this isn't my best work. i hope once i get settled down i can have more time to write. love y'all!!!
