Chapter Fifty

"Lady"

One year later...

Binaba ko ang bintana ng aking sasakyan habang nakahinto ako sa traffic light.

I felt the wind brush against my cheeks. It's been a long time.

I cut my hair into a cute bob cut a little above my shoulders. I got a nice tan from being under the sun a lot while I was in Africa. I just got home yesterday. Ngayon ay papunta ako sa Bauang, La Union.

Bandang alas sinco na nang nakarating ako sa resort.

I touched the pendant of my necklace.

Tumingin muna ako sa salamin at inayos ko ang aking sarili.

Bago ako nag check-in ay nagtungo na ako sa seashore.

A year ago, we made a deal that we'd see each other again. Here. In the place where we first made love. Under the sunset.

Unti-unti siyang napangiti. Instead of saying that he missed me too, he kissed me to show how much he really did.

Nararamdaman ko ang uhaw sa kanyang mga halik. Pareho kaming nahihingal matapos maghiwalay ang aming mga labi.

That's when I knew I made the right decision. I'm glad I left for Africa. I grew so much since I left. Marami akong natutunan, at natutunan ko na ring magmahal sa sarili ko. Being in a different country without any of your loved ones around can really make you learn to trust yourself and get to know yourself.

And it was more than enough to know that my feelings were true.

My feelings for Eleven didn't change. Or if it did, it only gotten stronger.

"Woooh!" Sigaw niya bigla. Na para bang nakapanalo siya ng lotto.

Natawa ako.
