...

Niyonika's voice scared me. Nobody dared to raise their voice at my home at me and now I am being called as a thief. How insulting can one's life become?

"I do not know anything, My Queen." I whimpered.

Please end this torture soon. I can't bear the eyes looking at me with disgust. The women who carried the identity of Nandini Murthy were also tied to a wooden logs above their heads while they were dangling their body in weakness. The uniforms were torn revealing their scrapped skin and bloody wounds.

"It's so sad that all the other women were beaten who were innocent while this thief is roaming freely." Navya spoke.

I did not pay attention to her. I know Navya hates me now and there is no use to plead her. I only concentrated on Niyonika and Mr. Malhotra. "Please trust me, I am a heiress of Murthy mafia and would never steal. It's an insult to my clan even to be standing in such situations let alone steal someone's property."

"Stop blabbering." Navya shouted and slapped me hard across my cheeks. A metallic taste filled my mouth as the inside of my cheek bled. Who could think this meek looking Navya was so strong.

My eyes reddened with anger. If only my eyes could hit her back she would be crying in pain. But I had no chance with the people of Malhotra mansion looking at me to remove my existence.

"Mr. Malhotra, I am saying the truth. As a person belonging from a mafia family, I had a family heirloom, and it is Pigeon. I know the importance of a heirloom and would do anything to protect it. At the same time we are raised in a way to die instead of having other mafia groups heirloom unless it is through marriage or through birth. I consider it an insult to adorn somebody's heirloom if it was for other than these two reasons." I pleaded.

Mr. Malhotra opened his mouth slightly as if he was in shock. He did not speak anything but looked at my face keenly and checked if I was saying the truth.

Before he could say anything Navya stood in my view, "Mr. Malhotra, do not trust this lying witch. She has clearly planned everything from stealing the family heirloom to feigning innocence. I bet she's planning on to run away with this ornament."

Mr. Malhotra would not speak in front of his mother. Niyonika is clearly being manipulated my Navya. Is there anyone who can question this scene? Unknowingly my thoughts went to Manik. His presence alone was like a strong army. That man was indestructible and having him by my side would make me feel safer. But then he is my enemy too. He was the literal reason I am in this situation. If he did not enter my life, my parents won't be dead and I would be married to Mr. Malhotra peacefully.

Realizing I am alone in this fight anger bubbled inside me. After all this is Navya, and for this person I do not need some superpowers. I could not control myself anymore. I slapped Navya and pulled her hair in my both fists. She screamed in pain and called for Mr. Malhotra but he did not budge. He was just a witness to this scene while Niyonika and the female guards tried to pull us apart.
