...

We walked inside the mansion hand in hand. I blushed every time he looked at me as butterflies erupted in my stomach organ. Alya who was sipping water from her bottle choked and coughed rapidly. This brought Cabir's attention towards us and he rolled his eyes at Manik shaking his head in disbelief. The professor squinted his eyes to get a clear view and immediately marched towards us.

"Why don't you understand Boss? You are destroying her life by being a distraction. Just stay away from her for some time till she can score at least 10 out of 100." He said hitting his forehead.

"So you are the reason for my pain, buffalo." I started and the professor gaped. "Who the hell are you to separate me from Manik? Your duty is to teach, that's all. I would not tolerate it if anyone tried to meddle in my relationships and if you did it today, you would be punished. Manik, kill him."

"What?" This word resounded the room as everyone said this at the same time.

"Yes, I cried for hours all because of this guy. There is no improvement in my studies because he did not teach me properly. In fact, he is a fake doctor, he doesn't even have a heart radio or understand the organ language. I don't want to do anything with him. Just kill him already." I said with no break and the professor gulped.

"Instead of killing how about we send him back to the mainland?" Cabir suggested.

"No. Kill him." I faced the professor and raised my eyebrow. "I wanted to become a doctor so that I could impress Manik and he would marry me. But guess what? He was already impressed and I don't have to cry in front of your books and your fake answers. We are getting married and you can go to heaven and hell."

"Marry?" Alya questioned but it was buried under Professor's pleas.

"What... I mean, dear, I agree I was a bit harsh towards you, but that's nothing when compared to the mainland coaching centres. If you were getting trained there, you would even be slapped for the way you answered the question paper."

Cabir pushed the professor using his fist. "Woah! Stop there, will you? You are speaking with the Princess and that's the last thing you want to speak in front of her. We are protecting the Empire so that all the Princesses are unharmed, okay? They are not your common people from the mainland, so back off."

"Then why did you kidnap me here? You could get your own doctor from your Empire to train her." The professor shrugged before his face broke into a mischievous smirk. "Or because there is no one like me on this side of the land? Tell me, Cabir."

Cabir rolled his eyes. "Now you are talking too much. Pack your bags and go to the mainland before I change my mind and follow the Princess's order."

"Kill him Cabir. Don't send him back and waste the time." I said with a shrug.

Cabir also argued back on why sending him away from the Empire is better than killing him. We both argued for a few minutes before Manik stepped onto the scene. He has been observing the situation with an amusing smile on his face all along. Why?

"The professor will not be killed nor sent back to the mainland. He will stay in this Empire with all the respect." Manik announced and the Professor took a deep breath feeling relaxed.

"Why?" Cabir and I both asked at once. "I don't want to be a doctor, Manik."

"You don't have to, Nandini. You have been manipulated all your life so you need someone well educated like Professor Raghav to rely on. He will be a good influence." Manik suggested and I pouted not at all liking his decision. "The Professor is secretly welcomed by some people here even though their words speak the opposite."
