We were all flying in the air. I am amazed by how this beast can be fast. And I am still wondering how I am going to name it, and since it is a male, I will definitely name it after my father. I could see the village starting to appear between the trees. I turn to Neteyam and he nods. I grin as we start landing on a rock near the tree of souls. I can see a huge crowd starting to surrounding us. I take a deep breath. I am so nervous. I am the new Toruk Makto. And I can not believe it, and I honestly hope I wasn't.

I exhale heavily before getting down from my Toruk and ending my tsaheylu with it. I caress it one last time before turning around and seeing everyone starting to whispering. I suddenly feel a hand sliding on my shoulder, I turn around and see Jake. I smile.

"We don't care about what they think. The Toruk chose you. And if it did, other's opinion doesn't matter." He whispers.

I simply press my lips together smiling at him in a shy way. He smiles back and I turn around, I see Neytiri. She was speechless. She meets my gaze and smiles, I walk over her. She looks at the huge beast behind me one last time to make sure she wasn't mistaken, and no, she wasn't. It is really a Toruk.

"No way. Toruk Makto." She whispers as she looks back at me.

I grin as she slides her hand on my cheek, caressing my skin with her thumb. She frowns cutely before tilting her head to the side. She whispers a few words in a tender voice.

"Congratulations sweetheart."

She smiles, and I smile a little more before thanking her. And Jake was right, the Toruk chose me, I don't know why but he did. And nobody could say anything about it. A tall silhouette appears behind Neytiri, and I recognize Tarsem. Neytiri steps aside and I face my uncle that was admiring the creature. I grin. His eyes were wide open and his jaw was almost on the floor.

I don't know what he thinks. Maybe he thinks I don't deserve it. Or maybe he thinks I totally deserve it and maybe he is even proud. I don't know. He just keeps observing the creature. I exhale heavily, biting my inner cheek nervously. I rest my gaze on the crowd, they were all speechless, they probably never saw a woman being Toruk Makto, but there is a first time for everything. I look back at Tarsem, and this time his eyes meet mine.

He starts smiling before jumping in my arms, I widen my eyes in surprise. He wraps his muscular arms around my shoulders, hugging me tightly. I hesitate, but wrap my hands around his back. He whispers a few words in my ears.

"Your father would be so proud. I am so proud of you."

Yeah. My father would probably be very proud. My mother too. Well, I hope they are from they are. Because I am doing all of this for their memory and for the tribe. I smile a little. They definitely are proud. And I am proud of myself too.

Tarsem tilts back, I see his hand sliding on my back, he takes my bow between his fingers before giving it to me. He is holding my hand in his as my fingers were wrapped around the bow. I look down as I feel my heart beating faster. Tarsem steps aside, in front of the crowd with a huge and proud smile. He raises our hand together.

"Tswayon Toruk Makto tutee!" He shouts.

And the crowd immediately cheer up. I widen my eyes as a smile starts appearing on my lips. Damn. The voices echoes in the forest, I feel so overwhelmed. So happy. This is such a huge thing for me and I feel like I am finally being integrated here by being the first Toruk Makto female, and I am so honoured. I chuckle as I look behind me and meet Neteyam's gaze. He grins before signing to me.

"I see you." He says, joining his fingers to his forehead and gesturing it.

I smile at him before mouthing 'i see you too' to him. I am so happy. I think it is the first time I am truly happy in the forest. I can not believe it. I feel like I am daydreaming and I will wake up, but when I keep hearing every one letting out war cries, I realize I am not dreaming.
