When our eyes met for the first time after two hours?
Sitting across each other on that train
You just looked at me
Until my eyes met yours
You stared at me
And there were so many emotions
And the look in your face slowly grew into a smile
And I smiled back at you
Bittersweet smiles facing each other
Why did you smile?
What were your eyes trying to tell me?
What was your heart too afraid to say?

I only now realized,
In this instant
The emotion I recognized in your eyes
It was love
It was no other thing but love,
unmistakably
Your eyes softened while our eyes were meeting
And there was this pain of letting me go,
That you decided to hide under a smile
You still loved me on that day we exchanged our things, even if you didn't say it out loud
Even if you didn't want to show at first
Your eyes didn't lie to me
(And I think this might make me cry)
