~ Two Years Later ~

I felt the early morning rays of sun sting my eyes, causing them to flutter open. As my senses adjusted to me being awake, I started to hear the blaring sound of an alarm echoing throughout the room.

I groaned and looked over at the clock, grabbing my glasses and putting them on drowsily. I smacked my lips a few times as I glanced over the numbers, but my eyes quickly went round and I hopped off of the bed.

'Shit! How did I sleep past that?' I hissed to myself as I gathered my stuff and stuffed it back into my duffle bag.

I looked back over at Katsuki who was just starting to wake up as he grabbed the pillow I was using and yanked it over his face, "Ugh! Turn off the goddamn alarm!" He groaned harshly into the pillow.

I rolled my eyes before quickly hurrying back over to the alarm clock, "Sorry, sorry! I just needed to leave, like, twenty minutes ago!" I apologized, clicking off the alarm and rushing back to my packing frenzy.

He jolted up suddenly, and watched me with wide eyes as I packed, "We both slept past that? For twenty minutes?" He gaped, "I mean, I expect that from me, but you?" He shockingly chuckled to himself.

I paused my packing to shoot him a glare, "Oh, Shut up!" I whined, zipping up the bag and hoisting it onto my shoulder, "Okay, I need to go now, but see you later, alright?" I reassured waving back at him as I opened the window.

He opened his mouth to answer but we quickly heard shouting coming for outside his room, "Katsuki!" His mom shouted angrily form downstairs, "We need to leave in thirty minutes! Come down to eat, you brat!"

I looked from the door back over to Katsuki with a closed-eye smile, "See you at lunch!" I stated happily, hopping up onto the window, activating my quirk and jumping out, without another word.

I zoomed away from his house and out of his neighborhood as fast as I could. I really hope that Natsuo could cover for me this long. My face furrowed with determination and I picked up some more speed, cutting corners and almost knocking over a few people on my way. Once I arrived on the long, winding road that led up to my house, I began to slow down and regain my breath. Once I made it up the street, I deactivated my board and ran around to the back of the fence where there was a loose picket, and I pushed myself through and bolted over to the bathroom window, pushing it open and stuffing myself through it.

Finally!

I slumped against the wall of the bathroom and huffed heavily, catching my breath from my speed race home. I don't usually use that back entrance due to how many sight lines there are, but I didn't have enough time to go through my usual route, and desperate times call for desperate measures.

After catching my breath and regulating my breathing to a normal pace, I stuffed my bag under the sink, knowing I'd get it later at night after everyone went to sleep.

I took a deep breath and reached for the door knob, twisting it as softly as I could, trying not to make a noise. I pulled the door open slowly and peaked my head out, scanning the hallway left and right to see if anyone was there. I almost nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw Shoto turn into this hallway, heading my direction.

I squealed quietly and jumped back into the room and closed the door.

I waited till I heard his footsteps pass me, and then a few more moments, just for safe measure before opening the door and observing once more. This time, the coast was clear and I took my chance and bolted out of the bathroom and ran down the hallway, turning sharply at the bend and sprinting for the stairs. I didn't stop to look back until I reach my room and locked myself inside, flopping onto my bed.
