Becky's POV

"Are you okay, Becky?" My dad's voice brought me back to reality. I forced a smile and replied,

"I'm fine, Dad. Don't worry about me." But the truth was, I was far from okay.

As we drove home, I couldn't stop the tears from welling up in my eyes. The weight of everything that had happened today was suffocating. I was trapped in a life that I didn't want, and it was all because of this company I love.

The thought of not being able to love Sam freely anymore was unbearable. After a month, I would be marrying Freen, and I would be bound to a loveless marriage. The pain of it all was too much to bear, and I wished I could just break down and cry in my father's arms. But I couldn't. I had to be strong, for the sake of my family and the company.

When we arrived home, I excused myself from my parents and told them I would be heading to my room to rest.

"Okay, Becky. Don't forget to prepare your things tomorrow since you're moving. And aha, don't forget to come visit us, for sure your mom is going to miss you." my dad said.

I smiled and nodded, "Sure thing, dad. It's not far from here anyway."

As soon as I entered my room, I burst into tears. I couldn't stop myself from crying and letting out all the tears that I was holding back earlier. I felt hurt for Sam and Yssa, they didn't deserve this pain. If only I could let our company rot, I wouldn't do this.

I covered my face with both of my hands and sat on my bed, allowing myself to cry everything out. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry Sam... I'm sorry Yssa... I'm sorry if I'm being selfish... I don't have a choice," I whispered to myself.

My phone caught my attention as it vibrated, and I wiped away my tears to check who had messaged me. I saw that Sam had sent me 5 unread messages.

"How's your day?"

 "Hello Becky, are you there?"

 "Good evening :)"

 "Am I annoying?"

"I am sorry for disturbing you, just missing you a lil bit :("

Reading her messages brought both comfort and guilt. I knew that I would hurt her in the near future, and it pained me to think about it.

I replied to her, "Good evening, Sam. Sorry for the late reply, I was just having a busy night with family. You miss me just a little bit? Hmm :/"

I put down my phone and tried to calm myself from the overwhelming thoughts.

I knew that Freen was also going through a difficult time, and I couldn't help but feel empathy for her, especially because she loves Yssa so much.

-

I woke up to the sound of knocking on the door, feeling a bit disoriented as I checked the time and realized it was only 9:00 in the morning. As I made my way to the door, I saw my dad standing there with a smile on his face.

"Good morning, Becky!" he greeted me cheerfully. "Freen is on her way to pick you up. Mr. Sarocha asked her to come get you here, so you better get ready." He added.

I couldn't believe what I heard, but I found myself heading to the bathroom to take a shower. I needed to be presentable and beautiful. I didn't want to think that Freen would have to live with someone messy and ugly in the same house. After taking a shower, I only put on light makeup and dressed up in a white t-shirt, denim shorts, and sunglasses.

I prepared only a few clothes to bring with me since the condo was just nearby. After finishing my preparations, I went downstairs to sip a cup of coffee. I'm not much of a breakfast person, so I usually drink coffee to wake myself up.

"Simple but beautiful," my mom said.

"Thank you, Mom," I replied.

"Please be good to Freen, okay? I know you'll learn to love her soon," she added. I just smiled to avoid the topic.

If there's a girl I'll love, it's Sam.

Speaking of Sam, I checked my phone to see if she had sent any messages, and yes, she did.

"Good morning :)" she said. Her smiley face was so cute.

"Good morning, Sam!" I replied.

"Someone's excited." my dad tease. Huhu, only if they knew I was smiling because of Sam and not of Freen.

A few moments later, we heard a beep from outside, and we knew it was Freen. My parents helped me carry my bags outside, and as I stepped out, I saw Freen wearing a white polo and black trousers, with black sunglasses. She looked stunning, able to balance being handsome and beautiful.

She greeted my parents politely, but she couldn't look at me. I can't blame her, as the situation was awkward for both of us. I was about to open the back seat, but Freen spoke up,

"Sit in the front passenger seat." so I did. As I opened the door, my mom caught our attention.

"Uh, matchy outfits!" my mom said. Oh yeah, I didn't even notice it. Freen and I just smiled in response and said our goodbyes to them.

We were silent throughout the trip, but I couldn't help but break the silence.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"You're already asking," she replied.

"Hmm. Have you told Yssa about this?" I asked. She didn't answer for a few minutes, so I stopped talking, thinking she might not be comfortable with the topic. But to my surprise, she spoke up.

"No." She said.

"When will you tell her?" I asked.

"I don't know." She replied. "Does Sam know?" She added.

"No." I replied.

"When will you tell her?" She asked.

"I don't know either." I said.

We both remained silent throughout the trip knowing that we were both facing the same struggle of letting our loved ones know that... we're getting married.

I picked up my phone and saw a message from Sam,

"Don't forget to eat your breakfast. Are you free for lunch later? My treat!" I couldn't help but smile.

"I don't think I'm free for lunch. Can we do dinner instead?" I replied.

"Sure Becky, I'll just fetch you." Uh, no. I suddenly felt nervous.

"Ah no, just drop the location and we can meet there." I said.

"It's for your safety, Becky." She said.

"Yea, I understand, but you know my dad is strict." I made an excuse.

"Uh, okay. Let's meet at a fancy restaurant." She replied.

"Okay. See you, Sam." I said.

As I sat in the car, I caught myself smiling... alone? Freen was not with me, and the car was already turned off. I looked around and saw a sticky note attached to the dashboard.

"I don't want to ruin your smile. Bring your things with you, the condominium number is 143."

What's wrong with this girl? Grr!
