They got into the rusty blue car parked outside, Athena running to the driver's seat "you okay?" she turned to Vanya who was sat next to her clenching her jaw

"Yeah fine" she replied "i'm just a little disappointed, i really did think they would come"

She heard the door open and grinned "i wouldn't be so sure"

"so, so, so" Klaus got into the car, sitting practically on Vanya "Athena, no your not driving" he said sternly

"But- ive got better i swear"

"No" he wagged his finger "switch over with Vanya", She huffed and let Vanya sit in the driver's seat

As she sat next to Klaus he sighed "Ben, huh? Gone forever" he said "isn't he?"

"What?" her eyebrows furrowed "..gone?"

Klaus's eyes softened as he grabbed Athena's hands "he is" he kissed her hands "afraid so dear, he finally went into the light" he said "into his eternal peace" he out his hands into the air

"But did he..say anything about...me?" Klaus looked down, tucking his hair behind his ears

"He wanted me to tell you that he was too scared to go into the light, it wasn't you that made him stay"

Klaus stared at her in shock and relief "oh, that little shit heel" he chuckled, Athena putting her head on his shoulder "all these years and i thought it was my fault that he didn't take his ticket to heaven" he laughed

She turned to the girl "he also told me to tell you something"

"Really?" she breathed out, swallowing the lump in her throat

"He told me to tell you, that you taught him more, than any book ever had"

"the boy did like his books" she said softly

Vanya looked at Klaus "Look im sorry, but-you should get out 'cause i need to–"

"Oh, no i'm coming with the two of you, can't let you face the unknown alone, right? Even with little miss arson over here"

Footsteps approached the car, Diego and Allison getting in the back seats "got room for two more" Allison smiled

"What about the commission?" Vanya said, bewildered

"Well, might as well do some good before we all die horribly" Diego said

"Whoo-hoo" Klaus waved his fists

Five opened the car door "ah, there he is. That motherfucker" she grinned

"five,you...you don't have to-" Vanya took her hand off the steering wheel

"I know. You owe me one, sis" He replied, Athena smiled at the boy, catching his eye. He turned to Klaus "children ride in the back" he said sternly

"Okay" Klaus squished himself in the back between Allison and Diego, Five sat next to Athena, shutting the door behind him "changed your mind?" she grinned

"After some thought, yes"

"Guys i don't know what to say" Vanya smiled, looking at all her siblings. The boot of the car creaked open, getting Luther waddle in, Athena let out a small shriek as she saw the man and the car tilted down "anyone makes a fat joke and i'm outta here"

Athena turned around to face Diego, a sinister smirk on her face "está tan gordo que cuando va de acampada los osos le esconden la comida" (hes so fat when he goes camping the bears hide their food)

She laughed and turned back around facing Five, the engine rumbling and driving away "im glad your here" she smiled, studying his face

He grinned back, she always noticed that his grin was always halfway a smile, halfway a threat "i promise that i care much more than i show" he stared into her eyes
