Five shut the bedroom door and turned to face her, his hands tangled in his hair, after the meeting ended and it was announced they had one hour before they made their 'decision' they walked into their room to talk about the situation privately "who in their right minds would trust reginald Hargreeves with their lives, let alone make a deal with him" he breathed out sharply

"Someone who has nothing to lose" she shrugged
"We all have something to lose"

"Your siblings are...not smart, no that is not one of their strongest characteristics" her jaw ticked "but we are, and we know that reginald cannot be trusted"

"Your right, we cant go through with him, but i can't let my siblings go alone, they need guidance, i need to keep them safe" he said honestly, stepping towards her, entwining their hands
"No, i wouldn't let myself do that, we need to make sure they won't go with him"
"But who made the deal?"
"Someone desperate"

They went quiet, thinking "i made a promise my myself when i lost theo that i wouldn't leave anyone, that i would always at least to try and save everyone"

"But we also need to save ourselves" he touched her shoulder "well..not save ourselves but save..our souls"
"Save our souls? Five were assassins"

"Athena, were people" he said back
She turned to look at him a slight smirk on her face "i love you"
he raised his eyebrows "i know" she punched his arm  "ah- im kidding- i love you, more than anything in whats left of the world"
"But you're right" he put his head on the wall "i want to do anything and everything i can to save my family but i just- i don't know"

"Well theres not much time left, the best we can do right now is talk to your siblings"

They walked into where Luther was sitting, staring outside his window while the wind growned "how long do we have left?" he asked

"A couple hours"
"Could be more, could be less."

"Where's Sloane?" she asked looking around the room
"Raiding the wine cellar for our end of the world party"
"So I guess you guys know which way you're voting"

"You guys are more than welcome to join us"

"Were still on the fence on that one" five sighed, glancing at the girl "we saw something last night that I was not supposed to see"

"Diego and Lila" he clicked his tongue "Yeah, they do it on the stairs sometimes."

"No not that" she shook her head "but that does freak me out"
"stay on topic" he mumbled, playing with his hands nervously "we saw Dad. He was in his room with someone. He was making some kind of deal. Before you ask, neither of us know what the deal was or who it was with. Everything is a blur."

"Wasn't me or Sloane. We were, uh, busy doing other things last night" he smiled raising his eyebrow

"You'll always be a monkey virgin to me lulu" she said,putting her hand on her heart

"Yeah, I get it, Luther. Thank you. Everyone was boning everyone last night."
"Wait, Ben hooked up with someone?"

"Probably with reggie" she snickered holding her hand up waiting for someone to hit it
he rolled his eyes,taking his hand out of his pocket and hit her hand so she would shut up

"Focus, please. That story about the bells? There's something Dad's not telling us. Think about it. When has the old man ever been straight with us?"

"I don't know. He was ruthless in our performance reviews."
"He always gave me five stars"
"Really?" the brothers discussed, she often wondered about their childhood, of course from fives stories they never had a particularly heartwarming upbringing but she would love to know how they all turned out like what they are today, minus the time travelling to the apocalypse, being turned into a monkey and ending the world twice
