Chapter 41

By the time Roseanne and Taehyung came home, SeoJun had already gone to sleep. He usually slept early after taking his medication. It was only last night when he delayed taking his medicine because he felt like playing around with Roseanne. Tonight, however, he followed his usual pattern.

Naturally, Roseanne or Taehyung would not disturb him at all. They went straight to their room. Taehyung went to take the shower while Roseanne took off her suit jacket before she fell down on the couch and let her body sink into it. She propped her feet on the stool that was placed nearby.

She held her phone as she scrolled through the messages. Roseanne's personal number was only known to few people. Even her business partners had to get to her through Lisa or use her email to contact her. And no one could complain about that either since Roseanne Park would never give her number to random people.

So, currently, the very familiar four people had texted her.

Lisa: Chief, I ordered the phone you asked me to. It'll be delivered to the address you gave me.

Roseanne nodded her head in satisfaction. Even if Lisa was in a bad mood because of her personal condition, she was still very efficient. That was one of the biggest reasons, Roseanne valued this assistant.

Sooya: My dear Rosie, did you have a good time with your husband and your best friend? I am sure you did. Now, have a good rest. Don't stay up late to work.

Roseanne pressed the record button and sent a short voice message in reply, "You also have a good rest." Obviously, she wasn't actually gonna bother typing that message.

The third message was from someone she had gone out to meet today...

Jungkook: Use my gift wisely! *wink emoji*

"Scram!" she sent him a voice message as well.

The last person who texted her was actually a bit unusual. Because the message was from Jungkook's mother. Although Roseanne only met her a few times, she had a very good impression of her. And since she was Jungkook's best mom, how could she not have Roseanne's personal number? But it was very rare for her to reach out to Roseanne.

Aera: I hope you like the gift. I wanted to give it to you personally but it's alright. I just hope my best wishes are able to accompany you on this new journey. Congratulations on your marriage! May you both always see heart to heart!

Roseanne read her message three times before her eyes wandered over to the gift box she had placed on the bed after coming back. Her fingers tapped on the armrest for a minute before she stood up and went to the bed. She sat down on the edge and placed the gift box on her lap. Only now she noticed that a beautiful picture of a bride and groom was drawn with a silver pen on the lid of the black box.

She had just untied the ribbon when the bathroom door opened which caught her attention and she lifted her eyes. At first, she was only gonna glance once before shifting her attention back to the thing at hand but the sight before her made her eyes stare fixedly.

Taehyung's half-naked body was right in front of her as he stood beside the bathroom door. When Taehyung closed the door of the bathroom, he noticed Roseanne looking at him and told her, "Oh, I forgot to take my clothes."

Roseanne looked at the white towel hanging loosely around his lower body like it about to fall any minute now and nodded her head. But even while doing so, her eyes didn't leave his body. His lean figure looked enticing because of the recent shower he had just taken. And let's not forget that perfect V-shaped body. Even the lines below his hips were prominent. How could one not look?
