It's the 12th of August.
The time is 00:00, but Reo already drifted away in his sleep. Nagi wouldn't want to disturb his sleep, so he only placed a gentle kiss on his cheek.
Happy Birthday, Reo was all he whispered.

It's a Saturday, but Reo, being the workaholic he is, comes home later because he had to finish a business plan from the current week. Their schedule has been busy lately because of Summer since most of his coworkers are taking summer breaks and the office has less staff than usual. Today wasn't hot, at least. The weather was slightly warm and just perfect.
It's 5 pm when the bell rings, Nagi is alert and on his feet. That means his favorite birthday boy is home.
He quickly throws his phone on the couch and heads to the door.
"Happy Birthday" Nagi mumbled, already buried in Reo's neck, inhaling his sweet scent, hugging him and lifting him up in the air, spinning him around like he's light as a feather.
Reo laughs with his whole heart. "Thank you-" and he's interrupted by Nagi's lips. Reo's hands wrap around the taller's boy warm body, holding him tightly.
Reo pulls back a bit, grabbing Nagi's face in his hands to look him in the eyes. "Thank you, my treasure." and gives him a warm last kiss, before Nagi brings him to his feet.
"How was work?" Nagi asks as he's closing the door.
"Eh, the usual. More quiet because everyone was off today. At least I managed to finish everything."
"Reo needs a break."
Reo knows that. He laughs nervously. "Yeah... I will get a break soon"
"Promise me" and Nagi gets too close to him, looking him dead in the eyes. He is serious.
Reo doesn't take promises lightly. Especially promises made with Nagi.
He stares at him for a few more seconds, nervous. "Yes, Sei, I promise."
Nagi takes his hand and kisses it. "Good. Now come."
He leads him to the kitchen. Reo leaves his bag on the nearby sofa and goes to sit on one of the bar chairs around the counter, as Nagi fidgets around the fridge.
