"Happy birthday to me... Happy birthday to me..." I murmur, looking at the candle I had lit up and placed on top of a chocolate muffin. I had bought it yesterday with the money I had gained from my summer work. It wasn't much, but the best I could get on my fifteenth birthday.

As I finish the song, I gently blow. The fire flickers and eventually dies, releasing a small trail of smoke into the air. I watch the smoke travel towards the ceiling, slowly disappearing from sight as it spreads out. I scrunch my eyes tightly, my birthday wish resonating in my head as I practically scream it, just barely restraining myself from doing it out loud. That would only wake up the beast from its slumber. And no one wants that to happen.

I slowly take the still smoking candle from the muffing, resting it on top of a paper I had sneaked out from the kitchen. I close my eyes before slowly taking a bite of the chocolate goody. The small pieces of chocolate melts on my tongue and I moan slightly in pleasure. The coco on top of the treat smears my lips as I take another bite, but I don't care. No one would be seeing my messy eating in my own room. I glance at my laptop that has an episode on a pause, the demon brothers were tied down already and I couldn't wait to watch more of the episode soon.

I have seen all of the episodes and all of the seasons already twice, plus read the manga five times, but I just couldn't stop doing so one more time after another. For seven years, this series has been my savior from the reality and in the recent months, it has been the only thing running in my mind. It's not even voluntary sometimes, it just fills my mind to the extent that it sometimes manages to spook me up a little.

The moment I've eaten The Heaven and cleaned up my brown fingers and corners of mouth, I push play. Japanese fills my ears as the so familiar characters resume on their conversation. The scene soon changes as they continue their journey on a boat. The old drunkard was explaining bits and pieces from the misfortune that had befallen on top of them, the leader of the group was listening intently, while maintaining his indifferent expression.

My eyes train on the 'one' eyed man as usual. He intrigues me to an extent that it makes me itch and so far I haven't come to any other result but that I may be losing my sanity. As I watch the screen and the moving images, I nearly get an heart attack when there is suddenly an eye watching straight at me.

The silver hair moves slightly in the gentle wind as his visible eye stares into mine. I choke a little an close my eyes. My breathing is heavy as I sneak a peek through my fingers and see the episode continue on its story.

My heart calms down slightly, but my mind is still bothered by what just happened. I know really well that he doesn't look anything like that on that part of episode. So... what happened?

His expression had been unusual, it was sad, his eye glinting with an unshed tear. I can't even remember currently if I have ever actually seen him so close to tears during the whole program! So how did that happen?!

I sigh in frustration. Maybe it was just a glitch... The internet has never been one of the best in here. The woods affected them too much or the reason was people in the city hadn't just bothered to place proper cables to this area. Ignore the country side, sure! It's not like people in here don't use any internet during these modern days.

My rant is disturbed when a shattering noise sounds through my earphones. I flinch automatically and immediately tore the plugs from my ears and listen, my muscles tense as I already am looking for my winter jacket.

I hear it again, but this time there are screams included. I stop the episode even before the clattering of, probably, a vase ends and am up and furiously seeking for my jacket when the first scream starts. She had woken again and it seems she was already at it.
