Amidst the small crowd, was a tall male with black hair, his eyes sparkling with contentment.

"Haechan." Jihye felt the edges of her lips rise as she mentioned his name, making all the male members turn around and face the said male.

"I think we should celebrate this later." Renjun whispered to the people around him, signalling to leave the soulmates alone for now. Mutually, they all decided to exit the medical room - a few of them bidding goodbyes to the patient who waved back.

The female Park noticed how the male simply stood there, a few metres from her hospital bed. She internally sulked, assuming that he was too scared to come closer. She put her hand out in a motioning gesture, telling him to come closer.

Instantly, Haechan walked over to her, taking a seat on the cushion chair beside the bed. Comfortable silence fell over the two, what should they talk about?

"Well.." They both said at the same time, making them face eachother.

The Lee took it as a sign to speak first, he just wanted to get it out quickly. "Well, you're awake?"

The questioning tone made Jihye want to burst out laughing, "I know that. Is there anything else you have to tell me?"

Haechan furrowed his eyebrows, "What do you mean?"

"How you stayed by my side while I was unconscious." Her eyes slowly creasing as she couldn't help but smile when teasing her soulmate. Awkwardly, the male turned around in his seat, facing away from her and to the wall.

"No, I didn't." He replied blankly. Habitually, he raised his hand to the nape of his neck and began rubbing it.

Jihye used all her weakened force to spin him around in his seat. She leaned closer to the male, noticing a few glimmers in his eyes. Something in her system made her want to genuinely smile, she didn't want to hold this secretive mask anymore. Waking up and the first thing that makes her smile - was her soulmate.

"Don't worry. Taeil told me everything." She nudged.

"He must have lied." Haechan defended, lifting his chin up and crossing his arms in a prideful way. However, his soulmate could easily read his lie, as easy as large font words in a book. He then lowered his eyes to the female who was seen jokingly irritated. "Fine. I did. Happy?"

Like a child eating candy for the first time, she beamed at his confession.

"Why did you hide it? Did you confess something to me like in those shows?"

The Lee hit her head gently, "Stop being so delusional." But, he realised that she was currently injured right now. Out of instinct, he wrapped his hands around her head and patted it lightly - making the female avoid his touch and push him away jokingly.

"Can you get me my phone?"

"I'm not your serv- Okay, wait." The male then quickly left the medical room, back to his bedroom where the others' phone was.

"You should be able to be dismissed by tonight. Your health seems to have jumped back to normal except for a few things that would easily heal again." Doyoung informed, eyes diverting between his patient and the computer screen in front of him. "Here's some medicine, take this twice a day for around a week. If you feel sick or something, immediately contact me."

Jihye nodded, taking the packet of medicine into her hands and putting it onto the table beside her bed.

While she watched Doyoung continue doing some other medical thing like doctors would do, her eyes drifted over her arms. They were securely bandaged and covering all her skin across this body part - she remembered when some sort of electronic robot dug these holes into her skin. Luckily, the spikes weren't able to cut something vital in her system.

The Park was feeling pretty good, just a little bit uncomfortable in the bed.

"He stayed with me even while I was nearly dead. He practically saved me too." She wondered, unaware of the smile growing on her lips. "He can't be doing this just for his own benefit, right?" She doubted.

Just as she was investigating her own theories and assumptions, the same person in her thought walked into her room.

"Bored?" The Lee questioned, fixing his varsity jacket before taking a seat on the same cushion chair he always sat in. She nodded. "I brought games."

Donghyuck placed a pack of cards onto the bed, a flat surface on the edge of it. Jihye silently took out the cards, preparing to shuffle after she pulled out specific cards from the deck.

"Look. This is the robot motherfucker." The female pointed to the joker card, "This is me." Pointing to the queen card. "Fuck this bitch!" She began making the queen card fight the joker card, like a toddler playing with their dolls.

Donghyuck couldn't help but laugh.
