"They're shooting at us!" the prisoners scream as everyone starts to rush around as the other warships start making their way towards us.

"Akari, can you go up to Jinbei," Luffy holds me out by my shoulders. "There's a lot happening right now, and they're only firing cannons, and I don't want you to get hurt. Any other kind of fighting, sure, I'd want you right by my side, but right now, I want to make sure you are as safe as you can be."

"I know that I can't fight back against cannonballs, so I was going to stay out of the way anyways," I reach up to cup one side of his face. "I'll be right at Jinbei's side until we're away from all this," I nod.

"You're perfect, dumpling," he presses a kiss to my cheek before rushing off.

I don't waste any time in getting up to the helm where Jinbei is doing his best at steering us where we need to go. "Not to put another burden on you, but Luffy has graced you with protecting me during this attack."

"Ace told me a lot about you, Akari," Jinbei glances over at me. "I know about how the relationships work between you, him, and Luffy. The whole reason I was in there was because of my refusal to participate in the war the World Government is bringing on by executing Ace. Since you're the little sister of Ace, I'm more than happy to protect you."

"Shit! They're back!" a prisoner shouts. "How many ships are there!?"

"It's the whole fleet!" all the other prisoners scream as a whole bunch of cannonballs are fired in our direction, hitting the deck and sending dozens flying. "Argh! We're hit!"

"All Naval Officers of Vice Admiral rank and above have been summoned to Marinford, but a ship of war is a ship of war!" Jinbei shouts. It's dangerous no matter who's commanding it!"

"Can't you see it's futile!?" a marine captaining a nearby warship bellows over to us. "The Gates of Justice will never open for you scalawags!"

"Oh shit!" I blurt out as the large gates that I saw for the first time back at Enies Lobby loom in front of us. "We still have that in front of us! I totally forgot about that! Earlier it wasn't an issue since they didn't realize Blackbeard had hijacked the marine ship."

"This is bad!" Mr. 3 screams. "We can't open it!"

"We came all this way here, and it's a dead end!" Luffy shouts.

"What are you going to do, Sharky!?" Buggy rushes up to Jinbei and me.

"Sail on!" Jinbei declares.

"Impossible! We're in the worst possible situation! Why are you so calm!?"

"Why aren't you calm, Captain Buggy?" I sneer. "You freaking out isn't going to help us! Figure out a way to make sure we don't sink!"

"Listen to Akari!" Luffy orders as he rushes around the deck below. "Protect the ship for now! Just protect the ship!"

"Don't just evade their cannons," Crocodile snaps. "This is a warship too! Return their fire, you worthless fools!"

Buggy has rushed back down to the deck below, and he stands atop some boxes to declare his orders to the men following him. "I have an idea! Return their fire, men!"

"Aye-aye, Cap'n Buggy!" the men shout before rushing off to do as ordered.

I roll my eyes, "They're all idiots, but at least their doing something now."
