"My girl just buy dah one yah and come on nuh caz mi nuh know why uh wait pan today fi buy the phone fah." Said Isla, and I pouted whining.

"But mi nuh wah no three camera phone, plus mi wah one pink one."

"Den just get the pink 13 and done nuh. We shoulda reach half way to Ochi by now enuh." She kissed her teeth, and I rolled my eyes.

"Fine, but if mi nuh like it a your fault." I said taking out my card to pay for the phone, liking it more and more by the second.

I was coming from an 11 and I loved it so much, but uh know wah story deh go already so mi finally a buy one new today, after mi beg mi Bredda dem some money, caz me nah spend so much a my money pan dis uh mad.

"We good now?" I asked the phone man, and he nodded handing me the phone and a case and a usb card.

"Unnuh tek so long? A di store unnuh did a buy?" Asked my dad as soon as we returned to the car, and I shrugged getting in the front seat and putting on my seat belt.

"She couldn't decide which color she wah."

"So a color yah buy or phone Thea?" Asked my dad as we pulled out of Clock Tower plaza.

"Di color affi look good daddy caz mi purple phone did look cute."

"But yah go out case pan it mad gyal." Sighed Isla, and I showed her my middle finger through the glass.

"Think uh did ago buy three yeye camera phone  like uh bredda dem. Piece a uh apple bite off a dis too?" My dad was such a comedian.

"Ha ha very funny. A mussi you a go round and nite off all a di apple dem."

"Android my ting deh." He grinned, and I kissed my teeth, caz he used both IPhone and Android caz he had two phones like him a hot bwoy.

"Ah press gas now caz me wah reach a Ochi before the sun set." Said Isla, and I handed her my new phone fr her to connect her hotspot for it to load up.

After some car karaoke, and conversations later, we we were now the hotel a little bit past 4, but we wanted to hurry caz as evening come now and night.

It was the new years weekend, so it was crowded as expected, and daddy helped us to get out stuff out the car before pulling me in for a tight hug.

"Mi wah uh fi be careful this weekend enuh and be responsible. Doh mek nobody force uh fi do ntn weh uh nuh wah do, and be responsible, but mi wah uh fi have fun ok? And mek sure uh call uh madda."

"I will. Thanks for bribing us. See uh Tuesday? Or me ago see uh at home Monday when me come back?" He shrugged.

"Depends pan the hours. Mek sure uh call uh sister too yer? Love you."

"Love you too." Waving him goodbye, I met Isla in the lobby thankful that she had already checked us in.

"Oh, and this must be Tia?"

"Thay." I corrected the front desk lady.

"I'm sorry what was that?"

"You called me Tia, but my name is Thea. Thay-ah."

"Oh my apologies. Here is your room key, and I do hope that you enjoy your weekend. Happy new year." She handed me my key, and I smiled taking it from her.
