Staring at the ceiling as I laid on my back on my bed room floor, I sighed as Athena barged through my bed room door breaking my day dreaming and just masking one heap an unnecessary noise.

"Thea we rea-my girl every day uh lock up in yah a listen sad song and a lay dung pan the floor like say uh mad. Uh coming the grave digging or not?"

"You know that knocking is a common courtesy and decency that you owe me right?" I got off the floor disconnecting my phone from the boom box.

"My girl stop talk so. Mi seh from uh get shot uh nuh stop talk like say uh inna one a dem old time day show deh. And uh start listen Chronic Law since when?? No sah dis serious."

I ignored her as I got into bed pulling the covers over my face.

"Thea mi know say the last two weeks have not been easy, and things Neva go the way uh wanted it to or as uh planned, but life affi live caz it goes on. Daddy dem ready fi leave gah the grave site now. Dem nah cook when dem come back so I think that it's best uh come eat some free food, or just any food at all."

"Okay." I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to go freshen up then I came and got dressed in all black putting the hood over my head and Athena looked me up and down.

"Bwoy you and black clothes."

"The-oh uh ready. Gwan inna di car." My mother instructed and I did as I was told closing my eyes with my ear buds in the entire time ignoring everyone until we got to the grave site.

"Everyday uh get up uh listen to bay gun man song. Uh cah listen love song?" My mother kissed her teeth as earbuds had disconnected from my phone which caused my music to blast before I could stop it, and I grimaced.

For the past two weeks ever since the incident my mother had been acting cold towards me, but daddy say nuffi tek it too personal caz a frighten she did frighten till she paralyze when she got the call, so mi kinda undastand har, but still.

"Antyyyy!!" Amir greeted when he saw me and he threw himself at me and I laughed.

"Uh nuh see mi germs?"

"No." He walked past Athena and she folded her arms.

"Uh see how uh head big?? Dats why uh ugly so."

"Uh nuh see seh uh self yah talk to anty." Amir retorted and Athena gasped and he giggled as she run him dung.

Ramping him a look.

"Theaaaa!!!" Meila came and greeted me, and I smiled as I saw Ki Ki on her hands.

"Hi baby. Hiii chunky."

"Oh uh can wull him caz a uh wound right?" She asked as held Ki Ki mid air in uncertainty and hesitancy.

"Unnuh nuh affi a move like say unnuh a walk pan thin ice round me enuh. It good man. Long time mi nuh see mi nephew enuh and him just a get big so." I took him from her slightly wincing at the pain and she noticed.

"It hurts?"

"No man it good."

"Hiii baby. Uh nah say anty yet? Yah big boy now enuh."

"Say anty leave me me a still baby. Deeven ketch one yet." I had handed him back to his mom as I laughed then I spotted Zuri with Anthony as he spoke to Tristan, and as I was making my way over to them I felt a heavy hand being flung over my shoulder and I winced pushing them off.

"Uh madda deh bout memba." Reminded the culprit who was no other than Travis, and I glared at him.
