The next morning I still was not speaking to Xavier, and I slept in the guest bed room last night, being adamant not to sleep next to him.

"Still vex wid me sweetie? Hmmm sugar plum?" He cornered me against the kitchen counter as I mixed my lasco for my cornflakes, and I avoided eye contact with a straight face as I went under his hands.

"Gwan go get any key mek we do road. Ago teach uh how fi drive fi real today."

Him always know how fi win me over enuh, caz why me a smile right now when mi fi a malice him.

"Any one?" I asked for confirmation, and he hummed making my smile grow even bigger as I was about to hop for the key to the Benz, but then he stopped me right on my tracks as if he could read my mind.

"Not the Benz."

"But uh say anyone."

"Any one except dat. Mi change mi mind." He said and I kissed my teeth nah badda feel di vibes.

"Ah tek it up. Uh win." He kissed his teeth, and I grinned, but then quickly wiped it off, caz mi Neva wah him feel like say me nuh still have him up.

"Ok let's go."

"Uh nah badda drink uh corn flakes?" Den dis nigga nuh see say mi have on my crocs already him come a talk bout cornflakes.

"Uh can buy mi food. Put it inna di fridge."

"Ah." He did as I said, and I waited for him outside until he came, and I handed him the key and he looked me up and down.

"Yah gimme dat fah? Nuh you wah drive?"

"So wait deh. Uh really expect me fi drive pan fall road?" I asked in horror caz a must prank dis. Him cah serious.

"Up yah uh live so wah uh plan fi do when uh start drive? Liff up di car from nine miles?"

"No woulda just move and done." I shrugged and he tisked going to open the big gate.

"If uh wah go fi a drive, Gwan inna di car mek we leave or uh can just go put dung back the key and done." He said after I didn't budge, and I sighed opening the car door and getting in.

Oh God help me.

"Just watch uh mirrors and listen to mi." He yelled from the gate, and I nodded driving through after taking deep breaths, and I waited for him to close the gate and get in.

"Uh have on seat belt already fah?"

"Unnuh fall people too bruk bad. Unnuh feel say seat belt an only fi di main road." I kissed my teeth as I cruised down the road, thankful that there weren't any cars caz mi nuh know a how dem woulda pass me, or who woulda gi dem way.

"Nice and easy. See yah do it deh." He encouraged as I bit my tongue for concentration as my back hurt from having to sit upright to see over the steering wheel.

"Next time bring one cushion."

"Ok." I kept my eyes on the road not wanting to break my focus.

"Alright Thea uh can touch likkle more gas stillz. Nice easy just like dis and watch out fi di pothole."

"Sorry." I grimaced as I drove out of it, and he took a deep breath exhaling as I jammed a hard break as a mongoose ran across the road, and he basically flew forward.

"Bomboclath uh good!??" I bit my bottom lip as I tried not to laugh at him as he put his seat belt on.
