Honorifics
- Oppa (오빠) literally means "older brother". It is used by a younger female to call an older male friend or sibling
- Hyung (형) literally means "older brother". It is used used by a younger male to call an older male friend or sibling
- Sunbae (선배) literally means "senior". It is used by a younger female or male student to call a older female or male student at school/university
- Hubae (후배) literally means "junior". It is used by an older student to call someone who's younger than him/her at school/university

Food
- Sikhye (식혜): it's a traditional sweet Korean rice beverage, usually served with desserts. It's not alcoholic.
- Sujeonggwa (수정과): is a non-alcoholic Korean digestif made by simmering ginger, cinnamon, sugar, and water.
- Tteokbokki (떡볶이): it's a spicy rice dish. Tteok means rice cake (but they look like rounded or cylindric gnocchi) and bokki stir-fried food. Combining these two words forms the term tteokbokki, or "stir-fried rice cake.
- Bibimbap (비빔밥): it's a Korean Mixed Rice with Meat and Assorted Vegetables. The term bibim means "mixing" and bap is cooked rice.
- Kalguksu (칼국수): it's a noodle dish consisting of handmade, knife-cut wheat flour noodles served in a large bowl with broth and other ingredients
- Tteokguk (떡국): also sliced rice cake soup, is a traditional Korean dish eaten during the celebration of the Korean New Year. The dish consists of the broth/soup with thinly sliced rice cakes
- Mandu ( 만두): or mandoo, are dumplings in Korean cuisine. Mandu can be steamed, boiled, pan-fried, or deep-fried.

-  Sundubu-jjigae (순두부찌개) The dish is made with freshly curdled extra soft tofu which has not been strained and pressed, vegetables, sometimes mushrooms, onion, optional seafood, optional meat, and gochujang or gochugaru.
