Song- Bolo na Radhika take
Darupadi
When I entered the private meeting room a sense of bizarreness hit me as I saw my mother in law who was practically beaming with joy while saying something to the Dwarka messenger suddenly halted in her track.
My eyes roamed over the people in the room, all visibly trying to suppress their exhilaration except Arya Bheem who I knew wasn't the best when it came to suppress his emotions.
On seeing me he got up with a huge grin playing across his lips "Panchali, you won't believe what we just got to know"
I couldn't help my smile at his enthusiasm and looked at others for explanation "I would love to hear the news that made you so happy Arya"
"Bheem, Let her sit first" Mata Kunti softly rebuked while Valandhara shook her head in despair.
My mother in law patted on the empty space beside her and I sat down. I had no idea why but something about the whole situation told me I wasn't going to like whatever news they were so joyously celebrating.
"Putri, We've a messenger from Dwarka" She pointed at the person sitting a bit away from us and I joined my palms to him and turned back to my mother in law who continued "Krishna had sent two letters to us, one was for and one for you. I've no idea what's written in the later one but the one he sent us is a wedding invitation"
She then paused, her affectionate eyes looked down as if preparing herself for something before looking up at me again. She placed a palm on my cheek and informed almost in a whisper "Wedding of the daughter of my brother, Subhadra and Phalgun"
I stared at her blankly trying to comprehend what she just told. I could feel blood draining out of my face as she handed me the letter Govind sent me.
"I will be waiting outside, Rajmata" The messenger excused himself, probably sensing the discomfort in the room.
"Bharata Arjun's exile is making me jealous" I heard Arya Nakul derided earning a glare from Karenumati but continued anyways "First a woman abducted him, then he proposed a marriage himself and then he himself abducted his bride with the help of the bride's brother and then got abducted himself by his own victim"
"Nakul" Mata Kunti warned "Each of my Phalgun's marriages holds different significance. On top of it women worships and fasts to get him as husband. He is divine, didn't you hear how his mere presence freed those celestial apsaras from curse?"
I could hear Arya Bheem's laugh before he replied with something but I didn't know what for I could barely concentrate on my surrounding which seemed to fade away slowly as I opened the letter
"Dear Sakhi,
As Promised here's the first invitation of my sister's official wedding.
My sister had always cherished the third Pandav in her heart but she is not as expressive as you are hence only Rukmini was aware of it so when our Eldest decided to marry her off to Duryodhan, Rukmini revealed this to me.
