Busted and Explanations::Chapter 14

"Brianna?!" A shrill voice echoes through the silent road and I can't help but feel annoyed.

I need to find Scott, can't someone just leave me alone.

Turning I face the shrieker.

Shit.

"Mom?"

"Bryn what are you doing out here?!"

The wind lashes at my face and I have to shield it with my hand.

What am I going to tell her.

"I um, was walking home?" My voice turns higher at the last word.

"Walking home?! This isn't the way home!" Mum yells and I run my hands through my hair.

"I got lost," I say and curse my horrible lieng skills.

She rolls her dark brown eyes and let's out a frustrated yell.

"Get in the car, now"

Hestitantly I look back to the howl and see nothing and climb into the used vechile.

Stiles POV
(4 hours later)
I've officially given up.

I drive more slowly, defeated, and exhuasted.

I should check on Bryn...

I make a quick turn and jerk my car in front of the cozy house.

I'm here like everyday.

Drained, I walk up the walkway and knock softly in the door.

So tired.

"Scott?" Ms.Mcall's voice shouts through the door and I find the energy to yell back.

"Nope! Stiles!"

A series of footsteps are heard and the door flings open.

" Stiles?!"

Two arms squeeze me around the neck and I already know who it is.

Bri.

" Oh my god, I thought you-" Her voice muffled by my flannel, I feel my own arms instinctively cradle her head.

Are we really hugging?

"God don't scare me like that," She scolds pulling away and the warmth she brings, vanishes.

Bryn looks as if she's ready for bed.

Her hair is up in a messy bun, loose stands falling out.

"I'm fine," I reply smiling.

She cares.

"You don't look fine," Bri says folding her arms.

I rub my eyes and look at her.

Even when she's going to bed she's pretty.

How's that even possible?!

"Just tired,"

She nods and beckons me upstairs, obviously wanting to talk about Scott.

I quietly walk up the rickety stairs and follow Bri up them.

I don't know if I can even stand for another minute.

Scott wherever you are, get the hell back here.

A/N I know it's a really short chapter but I couldn't write much today..sorry...please don't get upset.
