It wasn't until just about midday that we arrived in Dendemille town. Anne was holding my hand tightly as she walked silently by my side. She seemed to be lost in her own thoughts, which for a seven year old was quite a strange act. Normally seven year olds are full of energy or can't stop talking but Anne was unnaturally quiet. But now that I think about it, Anne hadn't talked that much in general. She seemed to only really be excited by my Pokemon as well as Red's and the few of Silver's she had met. I want much different when I was her age actually. Being unnaturally quite was natural for me.

Actually now that I think about it, it's been unnaturally quiet for a while now... which from experience was never a good sign. Then again I could just be over thinking things as a result of my years of being stalked and kidnapped which often involves me getting seriously hurt and on the brink of dying, last time this happened I did die as well.

Which reminds me, I still owe Faith for her skills in blackmail.

Why's it called blackmail anyway? Can't it just as easily been called pinkmail?

Anyway, back to my paranoia.

I subconsciously tightened my grip slight on Anne's hand, trying to focus my aura on the surrounding area to pinpoint any that could potentially be dangerous.

A ripple like effect emitted from my body giving me clear sense of my surroundings. I could sense many Pokemons aura hiding in trees, under rocks and inside hollows. I couldn't actually sense any other people's aura other then the aura's of Silver, Red, Anne and of course my own. Feeling slightly frustrated I concentrated harder, trying to feeling the aura's of a further range but still failed to find anything.

"Emma, you alright?"

I then realised that I'd come to a complete stop in the middle of the route. Anne looked up at me curiously but didn't say anything.

I just nodded, pulling my hood further over my face. Catching up with Red and Silver before handing Anne over to Red. "I'll catch up with you guys in a moment."

Red nodded and accepted Anne hand without question.

Silver however gave me a suspicious look. "Where are you going?"

"Nowhere, I just need to check something." I shrugged casually, shoving my hands in my pockets.

"What would that be?"

"Nothing, don't worry about it."

Silver frowned and seemed to go over the idea but eventually caved knowing I'd go off anyway. "Fine, don't be long or I will come and get you."

"No problem Ariel."

"Again with the nicknames?"

"Yup."

"How many do you have?"

"Plenty, Snowflake." I smirked, turning around and leaving them behind. "I'll be an hour at the longest. If I'm any longer, don't bother sending a search party cause I'll be dead." I said that last part sarcastically.

Silver lightly whacked my shoulder. "Don't even joke about that."

I punched him back giving him a bored look. "Don't hit me."

Silver fell to the ground from the impact of my punch which may or may not have to do with me combining it with a weak Close Combat. In my defence I do not like being hit so if you hit me I will hit you back ten times harder-- {this important life lesson is brought to you by Emma}

Once Silver and the others were out of sight, I climbed the closest tree and once again focused my aura on figuring out what the growing bad feeling in the pit of my stomach was. It was possible that whoever was around was concealing their aura. But only very few people could master that ability. Most would posses some sort of unique ability gifted to them by the Legends. I could instantly name three people who could do that. Myself, N and Shadow.
