~Emma's pov~

Days ticked pass agonisingly slowly. My X-transceiver didn't have a signal here which means the couldn't even call my friends for help. After Cyrus left a few days ago, no one else had come down to me not to feed me, not to give me water, not to check in me (though there was a security camera right outside my door). I refused to drink the musky smelling water that came from the bathroom tap, I didn't even wash my hands with it because I honestly think it would make them dirtier rather then cleaning them.

I was sitting on the mattress I was given but the blankets and pillows lay untouched in the corner they had always been. When I looked over them, I'd discovered they were my childhood bedding. Just looking at them reminded me of the many frightening nights I spent buried beneath my covers, praying my father would leave me alone as the night passed. I didn't want to touch the stuff because of the many memories they contained so I though it best to just sit against the wall with my knees pulled against my chest.

I passed the time either talking to Night or focusing on my powers, though as I became weaker from lack of food and water, so did my powers. Night was basically the only thing keeping me going, sharing her strength with me. It apparently came with her being my Guardian Angel and all but neither of us completely knew.

I wiped my tearing eyes and took a deep breath in, trying to keep myself as calm as I was able.

How are you holding up?

"Not good..."

I felt warmth spread throughout my body, beginning from my chest and fanning outwards. Night was sharing her strength with me in attempt to keep me stronger then I would be. Unlike me, Night was being taken care of. I don't think Cyrus knew I knew and for her sake I'm not going to go saying it.

Better?

"A little. Thanks."

Don't mention it, it is my job after all.

"Yeah."

Hang in there, okay. It shouldn't be to much longer.

"I guess."

Try to rest, okay?

"I can't, not here."

Emma, it's not healthy for you to go without both eating and sleeping.

"I'm scared... Of Cyrus."

It's going to be okay. But you need to rest, we won't be able to get anywhere if you're to weak to move.

"Could you be with me then, and wake me if anyone comes?"

If it will make you feel safer.

I felt Night enter my mind. It was a weird feeling but at the same time, completely natural like opening s thought you hadn't pondered on for a while. When she was in my mind she could use whatever senses I could, here what I hear, feel what I feel and such. I shut my eyes and tried to relax myself but despite my exhaustion and that Night was with me it took several hours for me to drift into an uneasy sleep.

The once grand Legendary castle had already begun to fall to ruins, several roofs had caved in and it no longer shone of it's proud golden colour. I'd been avoiding returning here for a while now because without me, this place would soon disappear. I knew Night wouldn't be here since she was currently keeping an eye on me from within my own mind.

I walked calmly down the path, noting how this place was unusually empty. Maybe I'm not the only one avoiding this place but I had a specific Legendary I was hoping to talk to. I strolled around the back of the castle, trying not to look at the dying plants and crumbling columns.

"Mewtwo?"

I looked around the clearing for the cloned Pokémon but to no avail. I cursed under my breath, turning to leave when a sound behind me stopped me.

I turned around and saw nothing but since nothing in the place can hurt me, I wandered further into the clearing, looking into the pool of crystalian water.

The surface rippled as if disturbed by a leaf but there wasn't a leave on the water. It slowly faded in a picture of a room seemingly made of metal. Blurs formed into people crowding around a figure that I still could not identify. I squinted as the purple blob took form into the very Pokémon I'd come here to seek out. I subconsciously covered my mouth with my hand at the sight of my pained friend.

One of the people before it, cloaked in blur with the only feature able to be made out as a while lab coat, stepped forward a long think needle in his hand. I flinched at the size of the thing as the mixture within swirled of purples, blank and a sickly green. The needle was stuck into Mewtwo's neck making the Pyschic type scream out in pain. I fell backwards as the sound seemed to ripple through me.

I forced myself to look back into the pool in time to see the change begun. It was similar to when a Pokémon mega evolved but much much darker. It was like my nightmare come true. Mewtwo's dark mega evolution spent several moments struggling against the darkness entering his system but it didn't take long for Mewtwo's dark evolution to fall limp.

The picture zoomed in on Mewtwo's face. He looked up and let a screech so shocking I splashed the water to clear the vision. I only just noticed I was holding my breath. I let it out before taking another deep breath in.

I think I'd just witnessed Mewtwo turning dark... Like the Scizor's I'd faced and such. I stood up, noticing the clearing was now much darker then it was when I entered. Which was odd, there wasn't a sun here the light just came from everywhere meaning that places never really darkened. I spun around and was met face to face with my nightmare.

I froze as the darkened Mewtwo advanced on me. I squeezed my eyes shut and forced myself to leave the council.

I woke with a start, panting hard while holding my hand over my racing heart.

What happened?

"My nightmare... It coming true."

Which one?

"The one where Mewtwo killed Silver and Red."

I though Mewtwo was a good guy? He's ominous but not evil.

Tears gathered in my eyes but I was quick to wipe them away. "I'm scared Night. Please... I..."

Truthfully, I didn't know what I wanted. I wanted to be with my brother and my friends, I wanted all this to stop. To be like everyone else with an average boring life. I didn't want to just be a power source thrown around by villains as they tried to use me for their evil schemes. I just couldn't bare it anymore. I pulled my knees tightly to my chest, burying my head into them in attempt to hide from the world

Hey, Night said softly, like a Monterey nurturing a child. I told you already, it will work out. It won't be long I promise.

I shut my eyes, leaning back against the wall. After a moment or two footsteps broke through the silence. My stomach let out a growl reminding me I hadn't eaten in days, sure I could go a while without eating because sometimes that's just what I prefer but I'm still human and eating was still a must. I could create my own water by solidifying the water in the air but that took a great deal of concentration and energy, which isn't something I had a lot of.

I didn't move as the footsteps stopped outside my cell. I didn't want to face anyone like this, a mess of unpleasant emotions fit to burst. I didn't want to be hurt anymore, I just wanted to crawl into a crack and disappear.
