Luke's POV

I stood in front of the Aussie's doorstep, but I couldn't find myself to knock. What if he laughs in my face? He's a couple years older than me, and he probably wouldn't want to work with someone as inexperienced as me.

I finally shook away the thoughts, bringing my fist up to the maple wood.

Faint footsteps were heard from the opposite side of the door, as my palms became sweaty. Soon, Ashton appeared in the doorway with a big grin plastered on his face.

"Hey, Luke! What brings you here?" He asked, moving out of the way gesturing for me to come in.

"I-I was wondering if you'd be interested in forming a band with me. I've always wanted to be in one, and your the only person I know of that plays the drums. It's totally fine if you don't want to, I mean I understand I'm a bit inexperienced-" I was soon cut off by the sound of Ashton's chuckling.

"Of course, I'd love to. I've been looking for a band, too. I happen to know another guitarist, actually. His name is Michael. I'm sure he'd join in on it too." He answered, and my face lit up with joy.

"Yea, I play guitar so we'd have two guitarists, that's good. What about a bassist? We need one of those." I bit my lip, pulling my lip ring in between my teeth.

"I don't know any.." Ashton frowned, and I suddenly thought of a familiar name.

"I know someone.. but he's back in California." I sighed.

"Could you possibly call him up and ask him? If he's committed enough, he'd probably fly out here to join the band." I nodded, but something inside of my stomach twisted at the sight of Calum's contact name.

I hovered my finger above the call button, before I heard a slight ringing in my ear. After the second ring, I heard the sound of my old friend's voice again.

"Luke? How's Australia treating you?" He pondered, making small talk. I decided to get straight to the point.

"About that, I was wondering if you'd like to join a band." I gritted my teeth after the words flew out of my mouth. I'm not a big fan of Calum, but we need a bassist.

"Sudden change of heart about me, Hemmings?" I could practically feel his smirk on the other end.

"I guess." I huffed, lying for the sake of the band.

"That would require me to fly all the way out to Australia, am I correct?"

"Yes. We could really get somewhere though, Calum. I know how much you've always wanted to pursue a career in music, and this is the perfect opportunity for you. All of us, really." I persuaded.

"Yeah, I guess. I'll give it one year, and if we don't get anywhere, I'm leaving. If we're any good at all, we should at least get somewhere in a year." He agreed, and I quickly sent a thumbs up to Ashton.

"Wow, this is great! Fly in as soon as possible and we'll begin rehearsing." I said quickly, ending the call after he agreed.

"Well, looks like we have ourselves a band!" Ashton exclaimed, and I couldn't erase the big grin plastered on my face.

Clarissa's POV

I have filmed three covers so far, uploading one today. It immediately blew up with views and comments, and it couldn't help but make me smile widely like an idiot.

I hit the record button once again, but with no intention of singing.

"Hey y'all, I wanted to say thank you so much for all the wonderful feedback I have been given on my covers. It means the world to me. I will continue posting covers weekly, thanks for the support! I love you all so much already. I couldn't thank you enough." I paused, thinking of what to say next.

"If you haven't yet, follow me on Twitter, the link will be in the description. If you tweet me I'll try to reply to as many of you as I can. I really would love to interact with you guys. See you next time!" I flashed a smile before ending the video and uploading it short after. My phone suddenly lit up like a Christmas tree, notifications running wild. I picked up my phone and favorited every tweet I laid eyes on, retweeting my favorite ones here and there, and also reply to some of them. If I ever do get famous, it will be harder to do this then, so it makes me happy that I'm able to make them happy while I can. I'd do anything to be noticed by my favorite artists, so I want to notice as many people as possible to make them happy.

Luke suddenly walked in, and I couldn't help but notice the large grin upon his face.

"Something tells me you found a band?" I smirked, and he nodded. His face suddenly dropped, and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"Calum will be here tomorrow. He's our new bassist." He said quietly, and my eyes widened.

"Luke! I thought Calum was forever out of our lives! All he does is cause issues between us. Look how great we've been doing without him here to screw things up!" I shouted, anger boiling inside me.

"I know, I'm sorry. We really needed a bass player, and I hate to admit it, but he's the best bassist I've ever heard. He may be a major douche, but he's definitely got talent. He also needs a place to stay, so will it be alright if he stays in my room until he finds a place of his own?" He asked shyly, and I signed clenching my fists tightly.

"Whatever, he can stay with you. If he ruins everything between us, remember that this is your last chance Luke. If you let him ruin it, then that's your own fault. Don't come crying to me for a second chance." I demanded sternly, and he just nodded quickly.

"Clarissa, I know we've been doing this friends thing but," He started, inching closer to me. "I can't do this anymore. Whenever I see you, all I want to do is kiss you until I can't breathe." His face was now inches from mine, and I could feel his breath radiating onto my skin.

Soon, our lips touched, and he connected them immediately. I felt the butterflies erupt from my stomach, and I kissed him back. It was slow but passionate, reminding me of how much I miss the taste of his lips. They moved perfectly with mine, and I could do this all day honestly.
