A/N: Hiyas everyone! Here's the wonderful chapter I promised! I tried to separate a paragraph so if it looks weird, do know that it was one giant paragraph. I didn't want to put y'all through reading a big ass paragraph but here we are 😅

Thunder rang throughout campus, lighting briefly illuminating the night sky every so often with its intense sounds. During one of these lighting moments was something small flying towards campus, specifically a section of the building where most experiments happen as it frantically looks around, trying to find some sort of shelter from the intense downpour of rain. It looked around its surroundings, heading towards a window, seeing that inside was nice and quiet, dark as well, making it almost sigh in relief at the fact of a potential hiding spot, only to be reminded of its urgency when a familiar yet dangerous sound followed behind. It frantically looked around, trying to find someway in the building, only to spot its goal: a slightly cracked window open, mainly to use the rainfall to water some potted plants that was situated nearby said window. It quickly flew into the crack, taking a few moments to wriggle its way through the crack and safely arrived at the other side, landing on a leaf of one said potted plant, using it to slide down the stem of the plant, landing in the soft soil of it. It shakes its head, trying to get any water out of its head while also trying to clear itself of any of the liquid. It briefly looks around, its attention distracted by the window, seeing something black flying pass the window, looking for its escaped prey. It smirked at the black creature, happy at the fact that it escaped it, but another problem arises: it had to go back out. It looked around its surroundings, seeing that aside from the plants it landed on, there was other things, varying from a board to books and even tables and desks. Humans are usually here.
It quickly panicked. If humans come here, then it's more dangerous than the black creatures outside. After all, humans like to covet things they don't have, and it definitely had something they wanted. It flew around, trying to find something, anything to solve two issues: the rain and the creatures outside. It needed a distraction or at least something to blend in. It looked around, trying to locate a solution to its problems, only to fly into something white, a stark contrast to the sky and environment around it. It looked at the white item in front of it, seeing that white it
was thinking, it encountered a field, or at least a fabric, of white items. It quickly inspected it, seeing familiar items such as the gown, goggles, and gloves. An idea hits it. It flew towards the gloves, remembering that gloves usually protected some humans from certain things, liquids included. It quickly lifted the glove, seeing that despite it looking so small, it was quite heavy, but it was at least black enough to blend in with the surroundings outside. It couldn't fly with the glove on it, but at least it can walk with it on it.It carefully picked up a glove, not even noticing the tags of names underneath and almost fell with it considering its weight, but quickly adapted to the weight, seeing that it wasn't as heavy as it thought it would be.
This could work.
It looked at the window it came through, seeing the black creatures were flying around the building it could tell, but if it timed its movement right, it could at least get to where it needs to be, or at least close, before its cover is blown. It wouldn't be able to fly, too obvious; and it couldn't just keep walking, that'll be too obvious as well. It flew to the window, glove in its tiny hands as it looked outside. It might not make it to the woods, but it can at least make it to the other building in the distance, in which it was reminded was a greenhouse. That could be a good location to hide out the storm and avoid the creatures. It looked at the glove, trying to find an entrance, only to see the giant hole at the bottom, and entered it, plan set in motion. It lifted one side of the glove, using it as a way to at least see its limited surroundings. It carefully positioned itself and the glove on the crack of the window, and fell into the glove, letting the glove fall out of the window. It braced for impact, only for it to not feel anything much, seeing that the glove cushioned its fall. It sighed in relief, both at the fact that it wasn't hurt or injured, and the fact that the creatures outside didn't notice anything off. It oriented itself, standing at the mouth of the glove, with the top part covering itself and start its trek through the mud, heading to its destination.
