The moon fell down in its place,
Taking a dive in the ocean's wakeAs did my comprehension of love sunk downward,
It reached the abyssal depths of blissful bedrockThe moon was shining, glowing in the distant horizon, an ethereal continent afloat,
Coated with blooming stars and gleaming artifacts of wishes unknown,
Leaking sheets of infiltrating blackness, dripping rivulets of corrupted moonlightWaves and waves, reflecting the peaceful days when the moon still hung above the night,
Ebbing and bobbing, in sync with the constant motions of the riptide, prying
Seawater like traitorous hands, having a viscid hold in the edges of this lunar land,
Holding it down, trying to sink, just like the last shipwreck didMy heart was with the moon, together they fell,
Severed bonds that no one can tell;
With the stars, with the sky, with my tears and the lies, I have fallen wholly
As the moon hit the surface, too shy,The moon fell down in its place,
Taking a dive in the ocean inches below the horizon,The moon swam, but my thoughts drowned;
And slowly, my ears filled with water
My lungs dipped in icy blue
My eyes wider than the moon, as I can assumeI wish I could swim with my heart on my sleeve,
Even so, I'll drag the moon along with me
Hoping we'll both liveTo regain what was lost in our drop from the sky
