When you're in pain, you're asked how bad it hurts
Especially if something hurts in your body physically
They ask you to rate it from 1-10
And you tell them by raising your hands willingly.
They give you treatment to cure the pain and to recover
And before you know it, you're out of their hair in no time.
I wish it were that easy when you're emotionally in pain.
To ask someone to rate how much in pain they are, when all they feel like is ripping their hearts out of their chest.
To rate the pain from 1-10 by not being hesitant to do so.
To know what treatment our heart needs in order for it to recover.
Too bad it isn't.
And I wish?
I wish it were easy to rate the pain you've inflicted in my heart,
Because numbers could never express how you tore it apart.
