Not Sleepy

Eyes dragging down the sky to the floor,
Feeling asleep, but really I'm not,
It's just the soft hums of elephants trumpeting,

No way am I just going to stay here in my bedsheets, laying down with daybreak by my side,
We're still in my cloud, don't take us to tomorrow, let's stay here in yesterday's ride,

You should be that music box, with that pink ballerina who doesn't care who sees her dance,
And I'd be that golden key, bringing you that inspiration,

We'd be awake, and they'll be sleeping,
We'd be dancing, and they'll be drifting unbound,
We'd be holding the galaxies up after their dreams knocked them down,
Accompanied with those elephant trumpeting,
While the stars say goodbye to the dark sky,
And the sun greets hello, window opened slight,

Cup your hands over your ears, and you could hear the oceans,
Throw away that empty shell; there's nothing there but false misconceptions,
Jumping on orange, and purple, and pinky-peach,
From dreams to clouds, or gravity floats away from our reach,

No way am I just going to stay here in my bedsheets, laying down with daybreak by my side,
We're still in my cloud, don't take us to tomorrow, let's stay here in yesterday's ride,

No way I'm going to close my eyes,
No way I'm sleeping with yesterday's last sigh,
When there's so many places to fade away to,
Daybreak, you, me - together,
Because if you're here;

Really, I'm not

stay, I can hear elephant trumpets in the distance, //k.u.
