I'm at the local coffee shop;

Waiting for something that I've been longing for,
"Am I really waiting?" I ask myself, and sipped on my expresso,

Waiting for something that I've been wanting now,
"Do I really want something?" I ask myself, placing the coffee mug down,

Waiting for destiny, or something out of the ordinary to happen,
"I just want someone right now..." I sighed, and plopped down the seat, beaten

I hear the local coffee shop's door chime ring, someone else have gotten in
I remained stoic, and twiddled with my coffee mug's handle in between,

I hear footsteps, and an "I'll have a regular Cappuccino, thank you,"
And I drift off in my world again, not acknowledging the "Ahem," that was continued with an innocent "Is this seat taken?"

Baffled and shock, I blushed and I stuttered,
Clearly, he was enjoying this, cause he smirked and he chuckled,

He sat right in front of me, coffee in hand, "Nice to meet you," he greeted, as he extended his hand
I blushed a new color, and sheepishly looked at the gesture, but took it nonetheless, before he changed his demeanor,

He did that heart-aching smile, that tied knots in my heartstrings,
I didn't expect this at all, and at this moment, I realized that I might stop my waiting,

Waiting for something that I've been longing for,
"I think this might be it," I muttered, as I sipped on my expresso,

Waiting for something that I've been wanting now,
"I do want something," I muttered, as I asked what was his name,

Waiting for destiny, or something out of the ordinary to happen,
"I want to know this person, right in front of me" I smiled, relaxing in my seat, happy

I hear the local coffee shop's chime ring, we both have gotten out,
I remained the same, and inebriated with coffee, no doubt

I hear footsteps, and an "I'll see you again, alright?",
And this time, I didn't zone out, and answered "Sure, yeah, I'll try,"

Walking a few steps, out of the shop,
Clearly, we enjoyed this talk, 'cause we both looked star-crossed and worn out,

Now, him right in front of me, it was nice talking to him, to say the least,
"Nice to meet you," We both said in unison, both giggled and blushed,

Parted ways, and smile, with a new number on my phone

I was at the local coffee shop,
And I think I'm in love
