You're My Poem

Sometimes, I write poetry just to make another version of you;

A page filled with sharp, nonsensical words that could stab a person's eye out, leaving a hole with your name in bold,

A paragraph that can form an anatomy of your body, the bends, the nook and crannies, the flaws, the hopeless hatred that I culminated, and the shameful love that I've given up on you,

A word, or a sentence, could create another version of you, or a part of you, an imitation through letters, and illusions behind the meanings through twists of context,

If you were a poem, you could blind a person,
If you were a poem, you could burn the hearts of many people,
If you were a poem, a simple chorus of words can easily pierce unguarded minds,
If you were a poem, you could make a love built in a foundation of bones,

Although, it is I who write the poems;

Sometimes, I write poetry just to make another version of you,

To burn hearts of those who read it,
As you did to mine
