Last week was awesome, I really enjoyed Valentine's Day with Ryan. He's such a sweetheart.

"Bestfriend!"

I turned from my locker and saw Kylie standing there smiling big at me.

"What do you want?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"I know dance is your life...well was I don't know but I want you to try out for the dance team with me. It'll be fun." Kylie said.

"No thank you, I'll pass. I'll probably be practicing for ballet recitals or somethings during that time. I never really liked the vibe I got from high school cheerleaders and dancers."

"We'll be seniors in two years, let's enjoy it by doing different things around the school."

I sighed. "You know how people are towards me because of who my dad is. They all think I'm stuck up and have bad attitudes towards me. Some just want to be cool for the money...which I don't have."

"You're the main person always talking about you don't care what anyone thinks about you because people will talk about you until you die but now you wanna punk out on me." Kylie said staring at me crazy.

"Fine! Just shut up about it. I'll do it." I said laughing.

"Great, tryouts are Wednesday and the team will be chosen on Friday."

"You owe me for this." I told her.

"Whatever...sooo what's up with you and Chance?" She asked.

"Ryan?"

"Alyssa you're the only person that calls Chance, Ryan."

I smiled. "His name is Ryan Chancellor...I call him by his name."

"So what's up with ya'll?"

"Same ol, same ol. We're good."

"That's a really short answer.

"Well I tend to be very private."

"I'm your best friend."

"Alley baby."

I looked over my shoulder to see Ryan cheesing at me. I wrapped my arms around his neck while he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"You missed me or something?" He said.

"Yes, you never called me back last night." I said letting go and staring at him.

"Some stuff came up in the hood and I had to go take care of it...I apologize."

"I'm still here." Kylie said clearing her throat.

I turned around and looked at her.

"What?" I asked.

"You don't have no more times to leave me hanging for him, see you later." Kylie said walking off.

Ryan laughed. "I think she like me."

"Whatever, she's crazy."

"You sure know how to pick friends, I don't trust her."

"Why do you say that?" I questioned.

"That's girl shit, I'm not getting into all that but you need to watch her. That's not your friend."
