Zoey

"How are you feeling?" My new doctor, Dr. Fields, questioned as I lay on the table for my ultrasound.

"I've been okay I guess. I'm trying not to stress out but it gets hard." I told her honestly.

Ezra grabbed my hand and kept quiet.

"Okay, so you have a history of miscarriages and I want to make sure that you both are aware that this is a very high risk pregnancy." Dr. Fields told us as her ponytail swung left to right as she maneuvered around the room.

"Yes, they told me that all those times I miscarried and they told me for this one too. I know I'm risking my life and I'm okay with that." I said.

Dr. Fields smiled warmly at me.

"You're definitely a great mother and I'm sure a great wife." She said.

I smiled a little. "I try to be."

"Okay, let's check on the baby and see how he or she is doing..." She said spreading the cold gel across my stomach.

"You okay babe?" I asked glancing at Ezra.

"Yeah baby." He simply said.

"Everything seems to be okay, you're about 8 to 9 weeks right now. You're estimated due date is about Mid-October. You will need to make sure you're taking your prenatal care and coming to see me every other week or so since you're so high risk. There's about a 90% chance that you could possibly miscarry but I'll do everything in my power to prevent that. We'll just have to stay on top of it." She told as she typed away on the computer and took snapshots of the ultrasound.

I took a deep breath. "Okay...babe maybe he or she...I already know it's a boy but maybe he'll be born on your birthday."

Ezra smiled. "That would be dope."

"Aww, you both want a boy? No girl?" Dr. Fields asked.

"Yes." We both said.

"Wow, that's great. So I'm going to get this information printed for you and get your list of medications then you are set to go." She said wiping my stomach off.

"Thanks." I said to her.

"No problem." She said walking out of our room.

I pulled my shirt down and sat up then turned towards Ezra.

"You sure you wanna do this baby?" He asked.

"I'm positive, nothing's going to change my mind." I told him.

"I love you." Ezra said kissing my lips.

"I love you too babe."

Alyssa

"What you got up for after school?" Jericho asked as we ate lunch in the school's cafeteria.

"Nothing much, I should probably study & get some of my homework done." I said.

Jericho laughed. "Sounds boring as fuck."

"Because you're used to stupid girls who aren't wrapped too tight." I told him.

"You got jokes I see."

"I'm pretty funny huh.."

"Nah, not really."

I smiled at him. "You're such a hater."
