I was with my family picking up my dress for prom. Jailee was also with me getting her dress. We were so excited because prom was getting closer which meant graduation was getting even closer.

"So have you chose which dress you're going with?" Kathy asked. She's the lady that helped us the last time.

"Actually, I need to look at them before she makes a decision." My dad said.

"Daddy, why?" I asked.

"Alyssa some of those dresses were very revealing." My mom said.

I rolled my eyes. "Alright, fine. It's the last two black dresses that I tried on last time."

I showed her the pictures in my phone just in case she didn't remember.

"Okay, I'll go get them for you. Ms. Howard your dress is ready and I'll also bring it out for you." Kathy said.

"Thank you." Jailee and I both said.

"I'm letting you know right now if it's too much showing then you not getting it." My dad said.

"Dad, I'm gonna be 18 in March. They're prom dresses. Don't you want me to look cute?"

He just stared at me. "We'll see."

Once she brought us the dresses I hurried and tried them both on so my dad could see. I can't help it I have a nice shape and my body is filling out. It's going to look like that in anything I wear.

"Yeah this last one got too much showing. Your entire back is out all the way down to right above your ass. Then the front slit is cut low too. Who the hell let their kids wear this kind of stuff?"

I laughed. "Omg dad, I'll get the other one. I think it'll make me stand out more anyways."

"Yeah I like that one better too."

"So is this the one?" Kathy asked.

"Yes ma'am."

"Okay, we'll need to get the alterations done and let you know when it's ready." she said.

"Don't you need to measure her and see where it needs the alterations or have ya'll done it already?" My dad asked.

"We've gotten it done already." My mom told him.

We went over to the register so my dad could pay for the dress. It came out to be $786.

"That's fucking crazy that a dress is $800 for one night." he said.

I hugged him. "Thanks dad, I love you."

"Whatever Alley." he said as we headed out.

"I miss Ryan." I said to Jailee.
